A bit hard to find with small signs difficult to see at speed but service was terrific. I am in a wheelchair and the "store" was actually the kitchen of the main house. There are steps but Darlene let me drive over on the nice lawn and she carried the selections out to me in the car. That certainly meets the ADA requirement for reasonable accommodation. If the person just comes to your car there is no need for a ramp. She invited Beth inside but I am the expert cook. All the food I wanted the first time was frozen, well packaged in vacuum sealed bags and looked terrific. They were packed exactly as I seal meat for my freezer. When I asked for a NY Strip I was happy to have her make the pick but she carried out five or six for my approval. All in all these people are wonderful and as a former sheep rancher I could see their animals were well cared for. I also ordered some specialty parts such as port liver and beef kidneys for some old recipes I use. The packages were also ready to go straight in my Sous Vide water oven. I will thaw and wet age the steak for several weeks. I cook steaks for 12 to 24 hours at 128 degrees then brown them on a griddle at its highest heat moving the meat around to keep it on parts of the griddle which hadn't been cooled by the steak. First I brown the strip of fat on the side.
Bob and Darlene and family are wonderful! Their farm is well cared for, and all products are exceptional. My family's favorites are the lamb, bacon, and pork, but we haven't ever had a less than wonderful experience!! Highly recommend!!
Everything I've ever purchased from here has been delicious! The meat is superb! The eggs are delicious, and the newly added maple syrup and sauerkraut are awesome as well!
The meat, beek and pork, no matter the cut was great. I haven't tried the lamb.. The people are nice to deal with. Very accommodating.
