Great little butcher in south Sac! As a Brazilian I love to grill chicken hearts when I host cookouts, they have great quality hearts for a good price. I even picked up duck and turkey hearts! Very helpful staff as well.

I bought a family meat pack and everything was good in the pack but the ribeye steaks. They were slimy and brown and I was not feeding that to my kids.. I called mad butcher the next day and talked to Kelly the manager and she was so rude about it all.. she told me they couldn’t exchange or give me my money back.. all I wanted was a new pack of meat and she declined and offered me a 10% off on my next order!!! I will never go back and I would never recommend ppl to this place.. they are family owned but not family friendly at all.

Love shopping for my meats for the month here.... always fresh, friendly workers, very helpful. You can pick your own meat, they also help packaging up your meat. I love how you can switch products out for something different from the meat packs. This is the spot to go 100% for me and my family. I always recommend this spot when someone is looking for good product.

I've been going here for a few years now. I've picked up meats for myself and they make great beef jerky. I always pick up a bag or 2 when I'm here. This is my place for frozen fresh dog food. They have straight meat or meat blends with fruits and vegetables. Great for cats or dogs. Also, great if you have your pet on a raw diet or you want to cook fresh, which is what I do. They offer fresh and dehydrated pet treats as well. A very large variety for you and/or your pets. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can order online and they'll have it ready to go.

I had such a great experience at the Mad Butcher Meat Company butcher shop. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly smile and a welcoming attitude. The meat was fresh, beautifully cut, and exactly what I was looking for! What really stood out to me was how personal the service felt. I wasn’t rushed, and they cared about making sure I left happy with my purchase. I’ll definitely be returning for all my future meat purchases. Great quality, great prices, and truly outstanding customer service!

The store is nice and clean. The people are nice. My cats love the chicken complete raw blend. I buy enough for all my cats every 2 weeks when I get paid. They box it up, so it is easy to get it home. Great consistently, the cats sing "the song of their people" while I prepare their dishes, and everyone eat all their food. I feed 2 ounces (1/4 cup) twice a day per cat. I take the 1 pound package and only let it defrost enough to be able to cut it. (Do not defrost all the way) Then, I divide it into 6 portions and put it in the little plastic cups used for sauces or jelly shots. Then I vacumn seal 6 of them together so I can defrost them in warm water easily, As you can see, my freezer is full of cups. I spend an hour or so every week, making enough for the next week. The improvement in coats is amazing, shiny, and luxurious. Digestion issues have gone away. They are healthy, happier cats.

The service and staff was nice and their packages were awesome. Left like I got a lot of bang for my buck, and definitely will return again. Might try some other items that were on sale there like the Alligator.

Everything here and quality and a decent price no complaints they even have dog food natural meat and veggies

Got the pork free pack and when I tell you their beef ribeye steaks are AMAZING you should believe it. We cooked them on the grill and they came out so juicy and tender. They were truly the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken breasts were also great. Juicy and thick and not dry like most other chicken you’ll buy at a grocery store. I highly recommend spending your money here. I will continue to buy all of my meats from mad butcher.

My dog trainer, through Nova Dogs, recommended Mad Butcher for their dog food. I ordered my guy, beef knuckles and a ton of different frozen foods. This place was beautiful, clean, wonderfully stocked, and the energy was so chill. This is the part of the story where I tell you I've been a vegetarian for 25 years... The staff was knowledgeable, the website helped me understand how to prepare the meat, and everyone was just so nice. I appreciated the fact that I could order ahead of time and set up pick up time. If you look on Google maps you can see when the store is less busy, and plan your pick up around that if you like. Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. was perfect! My little boy had an accident yesterday and ended up with stitches and a blow up cone of shame. He doesn't care, he doesn't care because gave him a frozen beef knuckle and that's the only thing that matters 🤣🙌 See y'all 🔜
