I recently visited Mac’s Meat & Grocery / Mac’s Meats & Produce in Winter Haven, and it was one of the best local shopping experiences I’ve had in a while. From the moment you walk in, you can tell the place is well taken care of — the floors are clean, displays are tidy, and the meat & produce sections look fresh and well-stocked. The vibe is warm and welcoming. The staff stood out: friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They didn’t just wait for you to ask — they offered advice, helped me locate cuts I was unsure of, and made sure I was happy with what I picked. That level of service adds a lot. The selection is impressive. Whether you’re looking for everyday staples or something special — steaks, poultry, fresh veggies — Mac’s has a good variety. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. There wasn’t a feeling of “just average” — everything felt above average in freshness and value. Overall, Mac’s is my go-to. If you want a clean, well-organized grocery/meat shop with good options and people who actually care, this is it. Strongly recommended.

My first time visiting this store since newly moving into the area. The store which is conveniently located, was very clean, and is family owned. They are very cheerful and friendly and proud to be there carrying on a family trade. There is a wide selection of fresh meats reasonably priced. Vegetables were fresh and reasonably priced. They were just stocking fresh collard greens. I made a purchase of meats and vegetables and walked away very pleased. I will return soon. Thanks for making my first visit pleasurable!

I love going here to buy meat, always good prices! We haven't shopped here in awhile! Hubby and I truly miss coming here to shop! You all make us feel so very welcome and thank you earlier for the help today!! Those close hangers came in very handy!!!

For the past seven years, I’ve purchased steaks for my team and our Christmas party here and have always been impressed. Their customer service is refreshingly old-school and truly exceptional. Excellent service friendly staff the meat is fresh. Excellent price too. You can call up and make your order and they will shop for you and just go in and pick it up no waiting.

My favorite meat store! Here I can find my favorite cuts of meats and those great Georgia greens. The staff remembers you and make you feel like they know you personally. There's always someone available on the floor to help answer any questions.

Macs is more like a private grocery store, has a great selection of everything to stock up your frudge, freezer and cup boards, fresh produce eveverything you could ask for. Friendly staff and fair prices.

Macs is a staple in the community and has been for a LONG time..... currently there's a lot of competition in their market. Today I went in for a few items and picked up a few extra items BUT wound up putting it all back due to the high costs! I hate to support elsewhere after all these years but the quality isn't matching the price increases.... I know its life and everything's going up and it hits small business the worst..... just makes it so hard!!

A clean meat store with a modest, good-looking vegetable aisle that includes plantains. They greet you at the door! You'll find rabbit, goat, ox tail, and gator plus all the regular selections.

Love this place, small, personal, and family owned for over fourty years. This is small town America. Heck, the amazing lady who owns it, still bags your stuff for you. My spot!

Always treated right! Im very specific about my meat and the way its cut and packaged, I like to pre order so its ready when I arrive, but they can also do it with out pre order, their meat is the best around its lean and greatly priced been buying my meat at this place for years now! Some of the other local meat markets could learn a thing or too from here!

A great inventory based on a small store. Them best rib eye steaks i have ever had, and all the employees are polite and very helpful.

I can see why this place was so cheap. Got some pork and it was mostly grissle, bone and fat. Not even good enough for a soup or stew.

Excellent sirloin steak. Tender and tasty. Never thought we would find a butcher here in FL that was as good as the one when we lived in MA but we did! They are so good that we froze steaks and took them back to MA for the whole family to enjoy.

Today was my first time in the store was very clean. Meat looked great, good sales and pricing! Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be back!

Family owned businesses! Such a selection of meats and spices! If you need rolls for burgers or hotdogs they have it. This is my go to for meat from now on. They do bulk packages. Every Monday they have a $99 bulk package away. They as do a buy one get one free. Get yourself down there and check it out!❤️
