This place is heaven for anyone who likes to grill or smoke meat. The selection is crazy. From brats and meat sticks to smoked cheese and steaks, they've got it. The restaurant inside is really good as well. Family went in for dinner and we all loved the food. I had a brisket sandwich with fries that didn't disappoint. Healthy sized sandwich that was quality from beginning to end. Also grabbed some smoked kielbasa and pulled pork just to try. Kielbasa was cooked very well, I just didn't care for the spicy rub they added. The pulled pork was pretty good as well. Wife had fish tacos that she said was phenomenal. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the smoked meats were good but not great and the cost was up there. Again, taste is subjective and I fully understand that. All that being said, it's worth the visit, no doubt.
This place is amazing! We have been coming to Ludington for years and found this place on Google looking for something else. Brisket nachos are the best and do was the French dip. The store is beautiful, clean, has a huge variety of meats and flavors, and does not smell like a meat market😁. Check this place out you'll! …
Amazing, amazing, amazing! Hands down some of the best food we've had. The hubs had the Smokehouse burger, I had the brisket tacos. The brisket tacos were the best I've ever had and the bite or two I had of his burger did not disappoint! We will be traveling back for a "date day" just to eat here.
We were on a road trip through the Midwest and stayed in Ludington for two nights. After a full day of sightseeing, we were pretty wiped out. All we wanted was some take-out food that we could eat at our hotel. I found the Ludington Meat Company online with great reviews. My husband was skeptical because it looked like it was just a butcher shop, but he agreed that we could take a peek and see what was up. Well! Not “just a butcher shop” (and a pretty extensive one at that), but also a full-on BBQ joint with inside seating and live music, not to mention it was only a quarter-mile from our hotel. It’s on the outskirts of town, so we’re pretty sure the patrons were locals and not tourists, which translates to “this place must be awfully good.” Eat where the locals eat, right? We placed our orders and sat down to wait. About 20 minutes later, after being entertained the entire time, we had our food in hand and headed back to our hotel to chow down. Pulled pork quesadilla for him, pulled chicken sandwich for me, plus those homemade chips were KILLER. Also we showed up about 5pm, and a good thing – we were second in line to order, and ten minutes later the line was about ten people deep. (Timing is everything.) A hidden gem for sure!
So many choices of meats!! We like trying different flavors of the snack sticks. Recently tried the spicy dill pickle and oh yum!! I’ve never ordered food from the food counter but my husband & his work buddies go on lunch when they’re up in Ludington and it’s a favorite!
Been here twice for lunch and will make a point to stop by whenever we are in the area. Egg rolls, LMC burger, Brisket tacos, the dip, and chicken salad were all phenomenal. Their meat sticks, cheese curds are delicious and their whitefish dip runs with the best of them in the yoop! The filet cuts are some of the best I have had at 1.5"-2" thick. The butcher was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Only negative was the burger wasn't quite cooked medium rare, but no complaints because it was not dry and had tons of flavor!
Excellent meats and locally sourced goods. Restaurant bar with hot food served as well as cold deli and frozen for purchase by weight. The brisket was awesome and the hamburger was out of this world.
What a treat! Really enjoyed our stop here. Lunch was amazing. The food was the highest quality and the staff was super friendly. Would give 5+ stars if I could!
This place is amazing. I thought it was a sit down restaurant, but it is not. But the cashier who took our order was very helpful and informative. Made us feel right at home and helped us with our order. The cornbread is like eating dessert. Highly recommend if you’re a meat lover.
They make an amazing burger! Staff are friendly always. Perfect place to eat when Ludington gets busy in the summer - no “wait” for a table, order and find a seat! Terrific market as well
