Lucky's is a grocery store located in Tooele that offers a variety of products including fresh produce, deli items, and baked goods. Customers appreciate the affordability and quality of the items, particularly the fried chicken and cuts of meat available at the butcher block. The store also provides water refill stations and has a pharmacy, making it a convenient shopping destination for locals.
Lucky's is my Tooele go-to. From the produce to the deli the prices and sales are always good. We go to the deli often and love to order the fried chicken for parties and the occasional dinner. If you do use them to cater please order well enough in advance. Just so you don't monopolize the food. Typically everyone is friendly and pleasant to deal with. My LATINA wife and kids have never had any issues as is implied in one other review. The staff are always approachable and professional. Lucky's is always clean and I appreciate the fresh produce and good cuts of meat. We love the Carne Asada that is on sale quite often. The cuts of meat found at the butcher block are also done well. As a former butcher I appreciate the cleanliness, prices, precision cuts and presentation there. We always go here for birthday cakes too. Top notch! Thank you Lucky's for keeping things affordable and available.
Nice grocery store to shop at when I’m in Tooele. Low and budget friendly prices. Bought this cake for my July birthday! Haven’t taste just yet, but we purchased a cake for my husband’s birthday in May from Lucky and it was very delicious!
I come here for water refill as I think it's the only place in town with primo or glacier fill stations but they are in store so you have to go inside. They are to the left as soon as you come in& there is 2. Machines work geat. Friendly staff & checkout never takes long even when it's busy. Well staffed store 👍 …
We have been loyal customers at this Lucky location for years, but unfortunately our recent visits have been very disappointing. We usually come for the fried chicken (which is delicious and affordable), but the experience at the kitchen counter has consistently been unpleasant. The staff working there are often rude, unfriendly, and make me feel as if they are doing me a favor instead of serving a customer. As a proud LATINA, I can’t help but notice the difference in the way I am treated compared to other customers — even though I always speak in English. The contrast is clear: when other people are present, the attitude suddenly becomes much friendlier. And please don’t tell me to “go to the website and leave my review with my name,” because the only number listed is the store’s phone — which means the complaint goes straight to the same rude and racist people. Change the administration, please! With Tooele growing and new grocery stores opening, I doubt Lucky will stay afloat with such rude employees. It is unacceptable and shameful to treat customers this way. Update: Since I can’t respond to Lucky’s reply, I want to make it clear that the person you need to “consult about this review” and all the others regarding rudeness, unkindness, and racism is the store employees themselves. Thanks You.
My grandma had came back from the store with 2 bags of fries, and I hate ate some, after thinking it was just me, I ate one more, and the fries was completely moldy and I hadn't realized after it was already in my mouth and I tasted it. I again thought it was me so I swallowed it😭 Also this Lucky's has made some really expired and disgusting foods over the years when they make the cakes, or cinnamon rolls, or whatever they make for decorating cookies and what not, looks really lazy and messy. Just went over there and I don't want to be rude, but someone who was bagging our groceries had like a condition or something, and while he was I seen that his nose was dripping and so he wiped his nose, and continued bagging our stuff. My sister was in the cart so he kept putting it on her a little, not the full way but the bags kept hitting her. Everytime we go we always have to bag it ourselves and I like it that way. I also went over there another time and was picking out some of there snacks from the self check out isle, and there snacks where so dusty, right when I grabbed it, it was like it wasn't even cleaned. I feel like nothing in this place is clean at all, and definitely needs more clean workers, and cleaners in the store.
Went today, they never bag our groceries which it’s not big of a deal, well they did today. When I was placing my bags in my car I could smell something unpleasant but didn’t think anything of it. When I got home I noticed the same smell in my kitchen, looked everywhere and nothing until I smelled the bags, it was horrendous, the smell came not only from the plastic bags but from the products I bought. I don’t know if it was something in the bags, the belt or the employee bagging the stuff. Not trying to sound rude, just trying to say to make sure that employees wash their hands. I had to trow away some stuff because my brain wouldn’t stop thinking it was something to do with the employee, and also because I couldn’t get the bad smell out of it.
I bought fried chicken today from the deli and it was disgusting. It soggy and tasted funny, it was so soggy the bottom of the bag ripped. I had to throw it away. I have always liked Luckys chicken, but after this I'm going to be more cautious.
This store reminds me of stores i would go to when I was a kid. I moved into town last week and went into a Lucky's for my first time tonight. It's my new favorite place to get groceries.
Love their pharmacy staff and have been going there for probably 20 yrs now. They know me by name and are always friendly and helpful.
Disagree... They're back to having problems with their registers & payment systems. I went to pay for my items, using tap (Samsung pay) & it said only $9 was available... Even though I had over $150 in my account. So then I thought well, I'll just use my debit card, then the register froze. The manager finally had to open a closed register in order to retrieve my suspended transaction and I paid that way... The whole time the clerk was giving a commentary on everything and his side of the story. To say that I was irritated is a complete understatement... * I'm not sure I'll return to Lucky even though it is convenient.
