Lobel's Prime Meats

Lobel’s sets the gold standard for butcher shops. The quality of their steaks is absolutely unmatched, the filets I picked up were beautifully cut, perfectly tender, and packed with flavor. Even cooking them at home, the result was better than most steakhouses I’ve been to. The staff is knowledgeable and takes the time to guide you through the best selections. You can tell they take pride in offering only the finest cuts, and it really shows in the experience and the final product. If you’re serious about steak, Lobel’s is worth every penny. It’s the kind of quality that turns a home-cooked meal into something unforgettable.

Lobel’s in Yankee stadium is hands down the best food stand in the stadium! Their staple is the steak sandwich. It was everything you want in a steak sandwich. Meat is succulent, tender, and tasty. The bun is soft and holds it well, and the horseradish sauce takes it to another level! The roast pork broccoli rabe was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time! Love that the pork was shredded and not sliced. The bite from the broccoli rabe and a dash of heat from the chili flakes set this sandwich off. The sesame bastone was top notch and a perfect vehicle for the sandwich. The filet mignon steak fries looked amazing and heard people saying they were great. And will definitely have to check out the 99 burger next time. Great quality food and great customer service as well!

Lobel's Prime Meats is an absolute gem of a food joint, nestled right by third base in Yankee Stadium. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the food is out of this world. I had the pleasure of indulging in their new meatloaf sandwich/burger, and let me tell you, it was a divine experience. The meatloaf was delicious, cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning and with crunchy onions on top, the combination melted in my mouth. And let's talk about those steak fries! They were a work of art. They complemented my burger so well that it was a match made in heaven. Although the steak fries alone were enough to fill me up. I have to commend Lobel's Prime Meats for bringing their A-game to the ballpark. The quality of the food and the service was top-notch, especially given the bustling atmosphere of Yankee Stadium. This is the kind of food that elevates the stadium experience and makes it truly memorable. Overall, if you're looking for a fantastic meal at the ballpark, Lobel's Prime Meats is a must-try. Their meatloaf burger and steak fries are 10/10, and the entire experience is simply outstanding. Don't miss out on this incredible culinary gem at Yankee Stadium!

Where they break down whole animals in the window. Taught me how to dry-age steak at home. Makes killer merguez sausage on Thursdays - get there by 10am. Gives soup bones to dog owners and cooking tips to anyone who asks. 10/10 for quality meat and price!

After years of ordering delivery to the office - I had the opportunity to visit the store in person. Nicest guys around - best meat around. What more can I say? I ordered a very thick cut Prime Dry Aged Ribeye (2" Thick!) I was also able to get my double cut American Wagyu Strip which I usually order for delivery. They vacuum sealed it for me which I thought was a very classy touch! Mom came in after me and selected the potato pancakes and Chicken Salad (with grapes - my father will love this). So happy I was able to visit in person - and now I must make excuses to go uptown just to have a 2nd and 3rd etc visit!

For the past 15 years I have had a routine of entering Yankee Stadium, going straight to Lobel's for their Prime Steak Sandwich and going to my seat to eat it. If you order a medium rare steak sandwich with gravy and horseradish sauce, you will have the best culinary experience in Yankee Stadium. The extraordinary meat melts in your mouth. It's a privilege. Incredibly delicious. Look, I haven’t tried every steak in the city, but this is the best one I’ve ever had. Purchased a skirt steak twice and it was just so flavorful and tender. Highly recommend. Note it is expensive.

UPDATE - Received a 22oz 1 porterhouse. Supposed to 1 1/4 to 1 1/2. Steak thickness and flavor did not meet expectations. Lobel Customer service promptly addressed my concern.

Their prepared food is consistently excellent—from fried chicken to lamb stew—but lots of places have great food. What Lobel's has is integrity, warmth, humor, and efficiency. This store goes above and beyond in their service. I'm always impressed!

I bought a delicious brisket and fried chicken. I was drawn in by the smell, and I am glad I followed my senses. Ii truly believe this was an authentic NYC experience. The gentlemen was kind enough to inform me the MET is nearby, where I sat down, enjoyed brisket and 2 piece of perfectly breaded chicken. A must see for anyone seeking an authentic NYC experience. It is a bit pricy (at least for me) but god damn it , it was worth it. MP
