Great place. Got someone on the phone right when I called. Dropped off my deer and it was ready to pick up in 2 days. All the meat was professionally vacuum sealed. The staff were professional and the place was very clean. They cut the deer right up as they got them and didn't leave them in a pile on the floor like other places I've gone. Other local processor we've used for 10 years was too full and in past years i'd had to wait weeks and they'd leave deer in a pile on floor for days. Another local deer processor said I had to "buy product" like sausage, kielbasa, ect. or they wouldn't fit me in.
We have done business with Lashways Slaughterhouse for 40+ years...no issues, great job, great cuts, happy customers...2 months ago...August we called to have 4 beef processed, person on the other end of the line enthusiastically gave us a date of October 18th. I mentioned to one of our customers they'd want to get ahead and grab a cut sheet to have it ready....they were told that Lashways were no longer doing beef. Customer called me...I called Lashways Slaughterhouse....I was rudely told that it was impossible that I called them as they no longer butcher beef....I'm sorry but someone gave me the date...I called the same number I called in August...it's in my phone...the ONLY # I have for that business in my book...slaughterhouse...not meat market. I now have 4 animals, 6 families impacted by their lack of business ethics to not inform us of the closing of their business. I am not usually so critical of a business but this is a great impact to our family income as I have incurred costs getting these animals ready for October 18th.
I'm sorry about your experience with us. We tried to refund all your money but you would except half so we did as much. Anyone who isn't satisfied can have all their money back ASAP!!
Took a 9-point deer to have it butchered 130 to 135 lb deer on yield only had 4 lb of backstrap no tenderloin which was still in deer when dropped off 36 lb of burger 14 lb of steaks and butcher shop said don't know what happened can't give you what don't have PS would not recommend for anybody deer was shot through lungs broadside with 280 Remington had all kinds of excuses
