Lamppost provides it all. Hard to capture it all with just one small review. Events to learn and/or just to have fun at! Wonderful products from meats, microgreens, eggs, mushrooms, tinctures... spices...seeds... in season veg and more! Great place and even better people. ❤
Lamppost farm is an amazing place with amazing people. Everyone here is so welcoming and friendly. When you hear them speak and talk about sustainable farming you can tell that they truly care about what they do. The way that it's explained is that Lamppost farm is a gateway into education for sustainable farming and living... Definitely in the top 3 experiences I've had this year
Everything here is amazing! Plus its a local business and i love knowing our meat is from a local farm! We also did the rent a chicken experience around Easter time. The kids loved it! What an experience you can't find anywhere else! When they do the pizza oven events you have to go try! The pizza is delicious! Definately reccomend!
GOOD MORNING... Melanie Sarah and Daisy were amazing. Forgive me for my spelling. Either way such kind knowledgeable make you feel at home folks. Not to mention the organic greatness... The eggs were wonderful the lamb heart was very tasty!!! Although I didn't have much heart to choose from. I will have my chance... Thanks Melanie for your advice on how to COOK PROPERLY! I have not yet tasted the sweet sausage from the pork. But looking forward to going back again. We enjoyed the service and the selection. What a wonderful hidden OASIS of GREATNESS and TASTEFULLNESS... QUALITY FOOD! We just need to find out when and how things are done. Learned a little bit actually quite a bit. But then there were a few customers. Plus my nearly 8-year-old would not stop running in and out of the store. Either way will be back for sure. 5 Star Plus hidden oasis with kind loving caring people and well fed and taken care of animals. You could see them along the road if you know the area. We're talking about (free range pasture fed the way the good LORD intended) food.... It's' a shame I've been here 8 years and did not know that lamppost existed. I feel like I made new FRIENDS and give them my 5 star ++++++ rating…... Thanks guys for your awesome products and service along with (making us feel at home).... That's even with my crazy little man running around. He's looking forward to coming back as much as I am... Thanks so much for the education/knowledge that YOU went out of your way for us when y'all weren't even open... And furthermore we still learned quite a bit afterwards. WHAT A WONDERFUL LIL FARMMMM YOU HAVE ... SEE Y'ALL SOON... Sincerely..... Jamie. R. P.
We went to the hops festival and we where very disappointed. We where earlier in the day so maybe things where not quite together yet? But I was under the impression tasting a variety of beers and seeing more of how things happen in the beer process. It just seemed unorganized and when I did try asking what there is to do no one had a answer. Well ... I do think I see your vision for the future and I feel you will get there just not there yet. Good luck. 😉 My stars did move up because they did respond in a positive way to my post.
I went to Lamppost for a pizza dinner, without knowing anyone, as I was solo-traveling from PA to IL. Little did I know that I wouldn't want to leave by the time the night was over. The family and volunteers at Lamppost welcomed me with open arms, cultivating enriching conversation, and laughter for all. I wish I lived in the area so I could visit again and again. These people really love Jesus and strangers well.
Delicious, well raised grass fed, gmo free meat. And the events are always family friendly and so much fun!
Went to the apple festival today. Good food, good music, even won a door prize. Will go again next year.
