Ketterman Ranch is truly spectacular. Every detail has been carefully considered, and the pride in the property is evident from the moment you arrive. The grounds are pristine, and pulling up to the main lodge is genuinely impressive. You may even spot zebras, bison, ostrich, camels, or giraffes on your way in. The rooms are comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. Our daughter especially loved the bunk beds and couldn’t get enough of Kid Zone. One of her favorite moments was feeding the animals and getting up close to them on our personal tour. Watching her light up with joy and excitement was unforgettable. We were there with my parents, and seeing them take in the experience through her eyes made it even more meaningful. It was a special day for all of us! We also loved the private chef dinner, wine, and the beauty of the entire setting. It truly felt like a lifetime of memories in just one day. We couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to experience Ketterman Ranch and hope to be back soon. Our appreciation and very special thanks to Matt and Mike!

Ketterman Ranch is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the most breathtaking part of the Texas Hill Country. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported—surrounded by wide open skies, peaceful landscapes, and a calming stillness that made it easy to leave the noise of everyday life behind. One of the most rewarding parts of our stay was the opportunity to disconnect from our phones and daily distractions. It gave us the rare chance to slow down, spend meaningful time with friends, and truly connect without the pull of the outside world. The accommodations were exceptional—every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the entire space had a warm, modern ranch feel that made us feel at home. We were lucky enough to have our meals prepared by a private chef, and every dish was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's obvious how much care and hard work has gone into building and maintaining this property—every corner reflects love, intention, and excellence. The highlight of our stay was seeing the incredible animals that roam the ranch. We got to observe giraffes, zebras, camels, longhorns, rams, and other stunning African animals up close, which made the experience feel like a dream. It’s not every day you get to see animals like these in such a peaceful, natural setting. Our son (10) absolutely loved every moment at Ketterman Ranch. There were so many fun activities that he never felt bored—from making new friends at the Kid Zone, to splashing in the Pool, to spending hours in the Game Room playing arcade games and learning to shoot pool. One of the most unforgettable moments was when he caught his very first fish—the pure joy on his face is something we’ll never forget. It’s not easy to find places that cater so well to both adults and children, but Ketterman Ranch strikes that balance perfectly. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the people. Everyone we met at Ketterman Ranch was so kind, generous, and welcoming. They made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. If you’re looking for a place to recharge, reconnect, and experience something completely unique, this is it. We left refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming about our return.

We had the absolute best time at Ketterman Ranch making memories as a family! From the moment we arrived, everything felt so luxurious and welcoming. The safari animals were incredible to see up close, the pool was stunning and a definite highlight. We caught over 15 fish, some of the biggest we have ever caught. My son, who is an avid fisherman, was STOKED (as you will see in the pics)! He had the time of his life! The rooms were gorgeous, beds were super comfy, and every detail was thought through to make our stay special. The kids loved having endless activities—pinball machines, pool, foosball, and plenty of games to keep them entertained. Evenings around the fire pit were a great was to relax and connect, and we didn’t have to build them ourselves🤣. WINNING! The fitness center was absolutely incredible. We are gym rats and were impressed by the plethora of equipment they had available. It lives up to its name, an actual fitness center, this ain’t no hotel gym. Pickleball courts were a huge hit for our family as well. Ketterman Ranch truly exceeded every expectation. It’s rare to find a place that combines luxury, adventure, and family fun all in one, but this ranch does it flawlessly. Oh and did I mention the staff is THE BEST! 10/10 recommend—we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely incredible experience at Ketterman Ranch in Burnet County. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. My boys are still talking about it—easily one of their favorite days ever. We caught around 30 fish, and they weren’t small. One was pushing 9 pounds. The lake is stocked and alive, and the setup makes it super easy to get out there and enjoy. After fishing, we hit the pool and hot tub, which were both pristine and perfectly placed for relaxing and taking in the view. Dinner was next level. We had a private chef prepare a meal with scimitar oryx as the main course—hands down my new favorite meat. The ranch is home to over 50 exotic species, and we saw at least half. Feeding giraffes, donkeys, and even kangaroos was surreal. It’s like a luxury safari in the Hill Country. And then there’s the sports bar. Overlooking the pool and the lake, it might be the coolest hangout spot I’ve seen on any property. TVs, cold drinks, and that view—unreal. The accommodations were 5-star across the board. Every room was beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Hard to put into words how dialed-in this place is. Every detail has been thought through, and the experience feels effortless in the best way. We’ll be talking about this trip for a long time.

What an incredible experience! Ketterman Ranch is first class 5 stars on all aspects. Everything from the food, the facilities, to the absolutely stunning grounds was top knotch! Did I mention giraffes and camels too?? Being only one hourish from Austin, this place is an adult Disney Land! Matt and his family were beyond gracious hosts and my husband and I got to experience a night we will never forget. In such a serene setting, we heard incredible music from Josh Abbot and Jack Ingrim. If you have the opportunity to visit Ketterman Ranch, you would not regret it! Gigi the giraffe was our favorite :)

Our administration has hosted two retreats in the past three years at Ketterman Ranch. We bring the CEO’s of all of our sport programs (21) to the ranch for a two day getaway. It is remote enough that everyone comes to the ranch together and steps away from the demands of their daily work/routine. There is space to have working sessions as well as space to play. The greatest part of our retreat is the time we get building community and breaking bread together. The ranch has many options for unique experiences to build community including safari rides, pickleball, tennis, fishing, swimming, campfires, and more. The views are serene, amenities are 5-star in every way, and the sleeping accommodations are incredible. Comfortable, clean, beautiful, and remote. Every individual who attended the retreat had their own place to sleep, getaway, and relax and the bigger lodge was our communal area to work and dine together. It is just a fabulous space! Our team, our staff, our program is better because of our time at Ketterman Ranch.

My wife and I hosted a private event at Ketterman Ranch for about 30 adults and kids, and the entire experience was exceptional. As a business owner, I value attention to detail and quality service—and that’s exactly what you get here. The grounds are immaculate and well cared for. Fire pits were always going, giving the whole place a cozy, welcoming feel. The lodging was top-tier—clean, comfortable, and well-designed, with plenty of space for our group. The wildlife tours were a big hit. Seeing giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, longhorns, and goats up close was special, especially for the kids. Everything was thoughtfully done, and it’s clear the Ketterman family has invested heavily in making the ranch truly unique. The amenities are impressive. The fitness center rivals any high-end gym, the kids zone was such a favorite that I’ll probably have to recreate it at home, and the fishing was solid—the lake’s well-stocked and easy to access. We spent a lot of time in the entertainment area during the Final Four. Between the TVs, margarita machine, and beer on tap, it felt like we had our own private sports bar. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly, and proactive. Special thanks to Jonathan, the foreman—he’s the kind of person who makes things happen behind the scenes and never misses a detail. He made sure our group had everything we needed and was a big part of what made the weekend go so smoothly. Ketterman Ranch is a rare find. It’s clear they run a tight operation, and they’ve created an experience that feels both high-end and genuinely welcoming. We’ll be back—and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone considering a visit or membership.

Ketterman ranch is a 5 star experience ! The staff is incredible the attention to detail unmatched . This Texas gem is a must see . Accommodations are equal to or better than any 5 star luxury hotel . Chef Benjamin Crocket has blown us away at every dining experience and we know food ! The safari style Game tours in custom Land Rover vehicles will leave you speechless bring your beat camera gear ! Safari not you style no problem the state of the art fitness center , pickle ball courts and sport courts will keep in shape ! The pavilion can handle the largest corporate events and possibly one of Texas best kept secrets for a wedding !

Ketterman ranch is a beautiful piece of property with all kinds of animals including giraffes! The staff and the owners are the definition of Texan hospitality! I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for an authentic getaway, events or guided hunts.

We were invited to the Ketterman Ranch to allow our foster daughter to experience meeting their new 'family member' - a baby giraffe named Gerald. From the second we arrived - we were immediately greeted by owner Matthew Ketterman and his wife Tamara. Matthew personally drove us around the entire ranch introducing us to the many exotic animals they have on the property. We got up close and personal with so many of the animals like camels, buffalo, zebras and of course - the giraffes! He also shared his plans to open his ranch up to others so that its beauty could be enjoyed by all. It was certainly a day our daughter will never forget - but also one we will never forget either. The Ketterman Ranch experience makes you feel like you've been given exclusive access to a resort that only the rich or famous could experience - but yet they make even the 'average joe' like a school teacher and her foster daughter feel like the most important people in the world. If you've ever wished you could go on a safari, stay at a 5 star resort, and be treated like a VIP from entrance to exit - then save yourself the 15 hour plane ride - and head over to Ketterman Ranch in Blanco! Their Texas sized hospitality will leave you feeling like a million bucks!!
