My boyfriend was a fisherman and the only place they could drop off all the fish that they caught for the day was at this mink farm.. he said that there were cages and they had tarp covering them, but he looked and he said there was so many mink in a cage and the cage is only big enough for a small domesticated cat he said there were hundreds of minks just stacked top of each other.. and He wanted to cry because you can hear the screams in the cries from the poor baby minks in there.. That’s literally what you hear as soon as you step foot on the farm is Crying and screaming. This is awful disgusting and heartbreaking for these animals. Just to have their fur is ridiculous. These farms shouldn’t be legal. Just for your minky blanket.. I will never purchase a blanket like this or support anything like this.
Those cages are terribly small and surely uncomfortable for minks. If this was setup nicer with free roam and actual room for them to live I’d maybe give it three stars. However, this is inhumane and cruel. Slaughtering animals for their fur is a no go for me buddy~ especially when they aren’t even able to get some fresh air and be content before they die 👎
As someone who is highly allergic to synthetic fibrous materials. Companies, like these, are still important. I can't wear anything made from polyester, polyethylene, rayon, nylon, acrylic, etc. The best outcome would be like the worst possible poison ivy rash. Blistering and all. People, even those who can't understand that, can still mind their own business.
There are 2 negative reviews. How fair is that for you to post your negative opinions on their reviews. There is bad in every industry. From everything I have seen they are doing things the most ethical and humane way possible. You obviously have never seen the beef plants such as up in Logan. These companies are monitored by officials. It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree. This is to review their business and I believe they are doing a GREAT JOB.
as an offspring of this fur farm and confidently say that the mink are treated wayyyy better then i ever was! and for all you people that think you can let these things free roam dont understand that these things will kill and eat eachother
People here whining about legit industries and animal rights are the same ones who are buying processed beef and chicken from similar farms and importing these same animal products from 3rd world countries.
It's time to force fur farms out of business. Synthetic fur is more durable, sustainable, and ethical. This day in age there is no excuse for this kind of "business"
These guys are wonderful and this is one of the cleanest and most humane farms I've ever been to.
These people work hard to keep their animals in good shape. They are totally honest.
Cleanest farm. Animals are very well taken care of.
They are doing a great job with creating beautiful fur.
