Had the pleasure of speaking with Sal yesterday and he was great. He took the time to hear my interests and made some recommendations on some different sausages which were ALL DELICIOUS! I also took home some shish kabobs, both beef and chicken which were very good. I noticed the Focaccia bread which I've never had before and asked about it which Sal explained and it sounded good so I bought one as-well. Needless to say, the bread never made it home 😂 my kids are a bit picky about meat, but none of this mattered as they tried everything without hesitation. Can't wait to visit the shop next time I'm back in the city

Drove up here to buy some Italian sausage based on the recommendation of John Kass’ podcast. Sal was a super nice guy and he took good care of us. Place is a true old school butcher shop. Saw an old man in the back grinding the meat into the casing. Grilled the sausage just a moment ago and it was top notch. Will be back for sure. Worth the trip.

My husband and I go here weekly to buy filet mignon, Amish chicken, pork chops and ribs. Yesterday we bought fresh corn locally grown! Wow! Better than any grocery store! I cannot say How good everything is from Joseph’s!!!!

After flagging Joseph's on my maps for "want to go" for years, I finally happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped in. All I have to say is that I hope more millennial and gen z future business owners go to Joseph's and can experience what customer service should be like and regain what has been lost with some of the owners from prior generation. The hype is real with Sal. He truly appreciates your business and in a day and age where bars are counting ounces of liquor because of dumb shows like bar rescue and delis are transactional, this is not that. Sal walked me through the deli, where meat & veggies were sourced, farm conditions, recommendations, etc. Word of mouth will take you further than counting ounces and meat quotas. I will tell so many people about this deli and I'm happy places like this still exist. I don't leave many reviews but felt obligated. Thanks

The customer service here is top notch, Sal did an amazing job of explaining everything, and making recommendations. The store is clean, and there is also frozen meats (homemade and packaged options as well.) Of course you are going to pay more than you would at a grocery store, but if you are looking for meats that are free of junk, this small business will get you right. I wasn't there in time to get some focaccia but next time! Some of their deli meats are also homemade, the corned beef and hot cap, are amazing.

Shame on me. I've passed this store several hundred times and never went in. Till last Thursday on advice from my son. What an experience. Filets, ripeness, pork chops, ground meat. But the Italian sausage was my reason for going. The price was reasonable and the quality was outstanding. I left with 12 pounds, bread and a complimentary tomato focaccia bread for my 1st time. Plenty of Italian specialties too. Friendly employees, especially the owner Sal. I shall return very soon. Possibly this weekend. Drive, walk or run. But get here. You will not be disappointed at all.

Highest quality Meats in the area. We have been totally satisfied with the Porterhouse and other cuts we shop for. A true old-school butcher shop.

Great butcher! I have used this shop for several parties. Easter I get whole lambs for roasting on a spit. Every time the quality of the meat is fantastic. This past weekend I got a whole pig and chickens for a pig roast and it was delicious! I highly recommend

Fantastic service and quality at this old school butcher shop on the northwest side. After hearing about it for years, glad I finally made it in. Tried many specialties, great hot Italian and Barese sausage, tasty capicola and corned beef. Will be back for steaks to put on the grill. Top notch!!

We switched over from Whole Foods and will never go anywhere else for our meat. Highest of quality with unbelievably great service. I rave about this place to everyone I know. Wish I found them sooner but glad we know about them now. Highly recommend.
