Josef Meiller Slaughter House

Went up to New York for my brother's wedding last week. I have cooked for decades so I wanted to cook when I got up there, looked around for a spot to get good beef and came across Meiller. They were super helpful and were able to work with me, the beef was fantastic. They were working on grinding pork when I got there, I did whole animal butchery for a few years, and we talked for a bit. Showed me the walk in with some of their sides of beef hanging, wow, some large super nice looking beef. The place was very clean, and the cuts they were doing were very well done. I had a great experience and have passed on their info from the cut sheet I was given to folks I know that still live upstate. Overall absolutely fantastic, highly recommend to anyone that cares about what they are eating.

Absolutely Top notch!!! We got a 120lb. roasting pig, for a pig roast, on short notice. The prep & butchering job was superb, and the end product was even better! Thanks guys for an amazing job!!!

Steaks are tasty but not 15 dollars a pound tasty

Purchased side of beef (shared with 3 families) and have cooked a variety of dishes with the meat and I am absolutely amazed every time at the quality and superb taste of the meat, even the hamburger meat is the best I've ever had. Today I've tried the brisket and was nervous the whole time it cooked but was pleasantly surprised when I took it out and cut into it. The meat was so tender you could have cut it with a butter knife. Would recommend buying from them, I'm getting ready to order a half pig.

Fair pricing and great quality. Everything comes clearly labeled and well packaged. Compared to the cost of meat in our local grocery stores, getting a half cow was a no brainer. We ended up splitting it with family and still came away with more than enough to last us a long while. We’ll be ordering again when the time comes

This is a fantastic local butcher shop. I would recommend calling before you go to see what they have, but you can also place an order a week out so they can prepare a custom portion of meat. The guys working are very friendly and helpful. The meat is extremely fresh and they can find what you are looking for in about a weeks time. I imagine it’s probably more wholesale orders but they do have smaller portions of hamburger and sausages regularly available to pick up.

Got a brisket to smoke. One of the best pieces of meat I’ve ever had. Highly recommend worth the drive from Westchester! Will be back!

All in all I’ve bought 3 cows in total over the years. Never had one bad cut. The Meillers are Genuine, good people to do business with

The only place we will ever get beef or pork from again, cuts are perfect and have the best taste of anything we've had in many many years.
