Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Co

I am disappointed in the lack of clarity from Jackson Hole Buffalo Meat Co. The organ meat does not have a listed weight, and it is apparent that this is by design. One of the hearts in the photo only weighs 0.76 lbs. Is this a joke? $ 25 for a tiny heart? I spent $150 on tiny portions. I have purchased bison meat from other vendors, and this is the first time I felt frauded. I will update this review as developments occur. Update: My wife cooked one of the liver steaks, and it was a bad liver. The texture was like that of a doe, not what a liver should be like.

We put their Buffalo Jerky in our wedding welcome bags! The team was a pleasure to work with. They had the 50 bags of jerky ready to go for pickup. The jerky was a hit and was so tasty! All our guests raved about it. Would def recommend working with them for your welcome bags!! So easy and loved to include someone local :)

Cooked up the elk brats I ordered from them. Six I did regularly, but 3 I did in one of my favorite beer and onion. (In picture). My wife doesn't like beer, but loved the beer brats. Even the regular one was outstanding. Definitely ordering more, once it warms up, I'm going to try over charcoal, or smoked. Very high quality meat. Thank you Jackson Hole Meats. It was very good.

We stopped by on our way up to the Grand Tetons. Amazing meat selections. New York Strip Buffalo steaks cooked just as Pete advised, on high heat to internal temp 120F, with a good dash of Midnite trail boss rub, did just the trick. The result was melt in your mouth steaks. Best campside meal in history!

I've been looking for healthier meat options and stumbled onto this company. I played it safe and order Elk and Buffalo to try first, but soon became a fan after having both. Fast foward a month, and several orders later, I actually feel many benefits of eating these meats exclusively. Additionally, I can attest to their 100% satisfaction guarantee, as my latest shipment had a slight error and they corrected it immediately and rush shipped my order to me....Awesome customer service!

Did not have wyoming beef. Only elk and bison meat.

Ordered 4 pack of elk sirloins and a buffalo skirt steak. The sirloins were excellent! Unfortunately at some point the seal on the skirt steak was compromised and the meat got freezer bitten. The issue was fixed after a quick and easy call to the folks at JH Buffalo Co....Andrea and Ashley were super helpful and pleasant. I will definitely be placing another order once there's more room in my freezer

Most recent purchase included 4 Bison ribeye's, 2 elk sirloins, 2lb of bison short ribs (out of elk ribs , thus the sub of bison)... $300 +... Might have been my bad luck this time, but ribs were grisly and a lot of fat...And we smoked them slow... I'll most likely order again at some point, but not the ribs... No issues with the rest of the order...

This company knows their meats. Tender, delicious and unique flavors. Whether it's a burger or some stew meat in a chili, or nice ribeye the Buffalo is best. Forget about that feed lot cattle meat sold in the big box stores. Bison is where it's at.

I tried both the filet mignon and the T-bones and both are delicious and tender. You definitely don't have to worry about chewy, sinewy meat at all. Of course the meat is pricey but you're paying for quality and it's worth every penny! …

Excellent and responsive service. The elk and buffalo meat was so lean and flavorful. The buffalo ribeye was incredibly tender, elk burgers were delicious. Very eager to try more of the various elk and buffalo options. Keep up the good work!

Their ground bison is great and the bison fillets are delicious, however quite a few of the fillets are not all in one piece. Many are split almost into 2 pieces such that we have to toothpick them to retain the shape. We like our steaks rare, so the size and shape is important.

A great place for bison meat. They carry all cuts and will ship it for you. Bison meat is not inexpensive compared to beef, but it is tasty and worth the extra expense every once in awhile. If you never have had bison meat, treat yourself …

I can understand some of the steaks being underweight, but ground should be spot on. Every 1lb bag of Elk was about a quarter of an ounce short. The meat quality was very good and saved the experience for me.
