I finally found a great meat market! And a meat market that has different varieties of seafood as well! I have only lived here a little over a year and have went to so make places trying to find seafood and great meat! Most importantly, the prices for quality meat here are amazing! Why pay a chain grocery store for the same cuts of meat you can get here with 100% better quality, grass fed beef, unreal pork belly and I made shrimp and grits with their shrimp and it was amazing! Staff is so friendly and helpful and they have meat bundle specials as well! Get over there and grab your beef, pork, seafood etc.. and tell them who sent you! Once again, it's great, I say it, it's horrible I say that too! Blessings and thank you! Kristen D Salas
The roast beef sandwiches at J-H Cattle Co. Meat Store are a perfect showcase of why this local business has built such a strong reputation. My roast beef and cheddar on white bread was stacked with tender slices of their own farm-raised beef, balanced beautifully with the sharp creaminess of cheddar. Michelle’s roast beef and swiss on wheat had its own charm, the nutty cheese melting into the heartiness of the bread. Each bite reminded us that simple food made with real care can be extraordinary. What makes these sandwiches stand out is the quality of the beef itself. J-H Cattle Co. raises American Wagyu Akaushi and Angus cattle in Waco, Missouri, without hormones or antibiotics. That commitment to natural practices and careful finishing translates into a depth of flavor you do not often find at a casual lunch spot. When that beef is prepared fresh and paired with good bread and cheese, you can taste the difference immediately. For $9.99, the meal came with a sandwich, chips, and a drink, making it one of the best lunch values in Joplin. Beyond the price, the experience felt like a genuine farm-to-table moment right in the middle of town. J-H Cattle Co. has managed to combine the authenticity of a local cattle operation with the comfort of a neighborhood deli, and the result is one of the best sandwiches you can find anywhere.
The best meat store in town It’s super clean. The employees are super friendly. They do amazing carry outs when your hands are full. They also have local honey and other amazing products. It’s the only place I buy my hamburger. It has an excellent options on other meats too that are well priced
I have lived in Joplin for about a year and I don't know how it took me do long to find this place. Hands down the best meat I've found in Joplin, I will never get meat anywhere else. I challenge anyone reading this to go make their favorite dish but get the meat here and I promise it will be better than it has ever been before.
LOVE LOVE LOVE purchasing from JH Meat Store!! We first discovered them at the farmers market and have been dedicated customers ever since. We also like traveling to their store in Joplin. Local quality meat is very important to us and hands down JH has the best in the area
We live in Pea Ridge AR.. they currently have a truck-post out here selling packaged meat. Let me say we stopped buying ground beef from Sam's Club because this was WAY better quality, and prices are reasonable. We tried a Ribeye steak, and our steak had prime marbling. It was delicious! Today, we bought chicken and hot dogs. I'm looking forward to cooking. Also, the two folks working the truck had great customer service. Which is why we also came back!
You haven't lived until you've been to this store. Best meat i have ever eaten! Staff is amazing. Couldn't be more pleased. Love this place!!
Spent over a hundred dollars on four supposedly angus ribye steaks. They were tough and grizzly. No flavor. Save your money. I get better meat from Walmart and food for less.
Nice store, very clean and well maintained. My husband doesn't mind spending a little extra for nice cut meat. We normally have no complaints, but our last purchase of top sirloin- Angus was tough. Tough enough, we had trouble cutting it. Luckily, we had another package of Ribeye- Angus that was tender and favorable. We generally buy packages and freeze the meat, but it's never in the freezer for long.
My son and I stopped in to get some steaks, simple enough. What we walked out with was the absolute best piece of meat that I have ever eaten in my life!!!! We got the Aukaushi Tenderloin, OMG, what an incredible experience!!!! We suvee’d the whole thing for 2 hours vacuum sealed in the original packaging at 130 degrees. Removed from packaging and seasoned with kosher salt and crushed black pepper. Seared it in butter and avocado oil until brown crust formed. Served it with sautéed onion and mushroom reduction. Sliced it into 1 1/2inch medallions. Literally used a fork to cut it. Amazing!!!! Kudos to Shelley and the team. No restaurant in the four states served anything like that, definitely worth it, I’ll never get any other steak! DELICIOUS!!!!!
