J & B Meat Market

Super busy, small family run restaurant. The staff and dinners were super friendly. The local sheriff stopped and chatted with us for a bit. Food was excellent. Because of how busy they were and only two servers, it took a little while to get seated. Great atmosphere.

Pretty good food, wasn't special, but the portions were huge, meals were fresh, and the restaurant was clean. Service was oddly unfriendly, but it's a fresh meal in the middle of Western Kansas, not much more you can ask for if you're familiar with this part of the Country.

Oh my what an awesome chicken fried steak! Very big and very good. The staff are really nice and so polite and courteous.

LOVE this place. We drive from Iowa and Colorado just to grab a chocolate shake as we pass through town. Great meats and chesses, and we've enjoyed lunch several times. But seriously... CHOCOLATE SHAKE is the bomb...

Food and service are great, friendly staff, clean restaurant/bathroom. A larger parking area would be nice but otherwise nothing but great things from this establishment.

Walked in and my gut said walk out or run… ordered a single cheese burger. There were 15+ flies flying around the register and the food prep area behind the counter. As I waited I looked at offerings in the butchers case and guess what, flies in there too. Burger came and had these nasty ketchup packets shoved on top of the bun - that had gross stuff in them. They should have not been on the food and really should have been thrown away. I looked at the burger that everyone said was worth the drive off I-70… looked like a frozen patty in a cheap processed bun. The flies and the ketchup packets made me almost barf so threw burger away when I got gas. Should have just stuck to the plan and gotten Fuzzies taco in Hays. Someone mentioned the place was clean…. It’s far from being in the territory. Gross.

Moved locations recently - nice, clean place! The food has always been great, and is just as good as always. I had the chicken fried steak for $17. It came with choice of 2 sides, so I chose a side salad and loaded sweet potato fries. I hesitate to give something the title of "the best", but this chicken fried steak has to be close. It was huge, thick cut, and really good. The side salad was good as well, with cheese, croutons, and a couple tomatoes. Lastly, the loaded sweet potato fries were delicious. Their hamburgers are always good as well, especially if you're looking for something a bit "lighter" than a steak. Service was good, and fast even for our group of 9. We were done eating and paid right at an hour after arriving. Highly recommend, can't really go wrong here.

Stopped in a few years back ate here and got some meat to take home to Colorado with us. Amazing! Great people, great food and the best meat you can buy! And the prices are not bad! I'd recommend this to everyone! We come out now to get meat whenever we can! No place anywhere in Metro Denver area comes close to the quality! A MUST TRY!

I’m so glad we tried this place on our way to Colorado. Best cheeseburgers that we have had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned. Fresh toppings. Delicious real milkshakes. And they just added fried cheese curds to their menu, which were awesome. Sooo much better than the typical fast food chains. We will be back.

I had the rib eye sandwich...ordered rare, fries and water. The meat was paper thin, dry, stringy, prepared well done. The bread was soggy from the tomato and fell apart. Fries and water were OK. Total w tip was $20. That plate should have never left the kitchen. The place was empty and very clean.

We drove through on our way to Nebraska and needed lunch in Colby. What a wonderful surprise this was. Well-priced burgers, tasty chicken tenders, and the kids get ice cream for dessert. Excellent experience.

This non assuming place provides great service and delicious food. Grab some steaks to cook up later. The ice cream is the best.

Fresh and amazing stopped here on a cross country road trip. It was nice to have a great meal and very convenient to the interstate. Burgers were made just as asked for and milkshake was very creamy. Will save this location for next time I pass through.

This place looks kinda like a hole in the wall from outside but they have one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Great quality meat, perfectly cooked, big portions, great value. They're mom&pop so they close by 7pm most nights, but go give them a try - really worth it!
