Hummer's Meats

Today I visited this place for the first time all the meats & produce looked fresh. The staff were great, very friendly and ready to help. I also got the hot wings they were amazing. So if you’re looking for fresh food you should visit this market.

All the way from Cleveland Ohio I love this place I look forward to going back to roots on Tuesdays and the regular shop everyday but Monday. Highly recommend the pasta salad with the shells man wish I had some now

This a regular stop on our Saturday grocery route. Meats are excellent with a great selection. Chicken is far superior to anything at the grocery and a small, but excellent, selection of fresh veggies. Customer service is second to none and shopping there is always a great experience.

We stopped at the West Shore Farmers Market a few weeks ago. My hubby thought the lunch meat looked good. It was. We bought ham and roast beef. Grabbed a pound of bacon for BLT's. It was terrific. Bought the pre-packed 1/4 pound burgers. Just tried the burgers on the grill today. Very good. Looking forward to trying more of your items.

Stopped by for the first time after hummers was recommended to me by a friend. Jackson was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of the products. He made my first experience extremely easy and we will definitely become regulars now. I also appreciated how clean everything was regardless of how busy they were!

Great place! It's almost a 1 stop shop with fresh meats, deli, hot & cold food. Everything is so good!! All the staff are so pleasant & kind!! Highly recommend, you can't go wrong!!

I went here today to get some chipped beef for my aunt because she doesn’t have it where she lives. The atmosphere in this store is just so lively and all the staff seem to really enjoy one another working together! They had what I needed and then some. I also got some beef jerky and I will surely be back. When I got in the car I had to try it and let me say I will most definitely be back! They also had fried chicken and some other warm foods that looked so yummy!

Hummer’s Meats is the best store! We have been buying from them since they were at Bird in Hand Market. Their meats are excellent and the people are so friendly. We don’t mind the hour to get there. It’s worth it.

We found Hummer’s Meats online and decided to give them a try. They are not a big store but their selection and prices are very good. We specifically went for Chicken. Their pledge for locally sourced, No Anti-biotics or growth hormones is what attracted us. They also have a wide selection of beef and pork products as well as locally cured bacon, ham and sausages. There beef selection is extensive. They also custom butcher sides and quarters of beef. The store was was busy when we arrived. All the employees had a smile on their face and were eager to help. We purchased a fryer, 2lbs of Boneless thighs along with 2lbs of wings for Super Bowl weekend. On the way out we decided to try their own deep fried Chicken tenders. They were delicious and perfectly cooked. They came with a Bar-B-Que side but, they didn’t need it! There’s plenty of parking and an easy drive to My Joy from Lancaster. Well worth the trip. Will go back for sure.

This is a MUST stop whenever you go to Mount Joy. (or ROOTS, {rhymes with foots, not boots} on Tuesdays. Great choice of meat, chicken, and pork. The Apple Maple sausage is perfect for a Sunday brunch. I don't want to talk about the Chicken Cordon Blue, because, everybody will love it and they won't have any left when I go there. Check out their cheese spreads, too. Most important of all.... everyone who works behind the counter, treats you like an old friend and they are always happy. Must be a great place to work.

I am in awe! This place is outstanding! This place was recommended for their hot bar. You can easilly get a full lunch for $10-$15. Some items are a bit pricey, but the service is beyond recognition. Unfortunately, as you face the counter, do a 180 and they have desserts, my weak spot. I highly recommend this place for lunch and all your fresh butcher needs!

Hummers has the BEST fresh meats around. Love their bacon and smoked pork chops. I cook the chops for 4 minutes on each side. Friendly little store. Bea

We moved here from Michigan in January and probably buy 90% of our meat from you (both at the store and at Root’s Market); so far all of our purchases have been fantastic! Great little meat market with reasonable prices. They also have takeout dellie some cooked food ,drinks and cheese's.lots of other goodies. Great friendly staff. Wish we had something like this in the town I live in.

Picked up two large filet mignon and prepared them with Hummer's own prime rib seasoning rub. One word, INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Only place I'll buy filets!

I will not buy my family's meats or cheeses anywhere else. Hummers is the absolute best! Service is friendly, courteous, helpful and fun! They even carry produce, baked goods, hot food, salads and more. It's a one stop shop close to home. If you haven't been- GO!

Hummers Meats is our go to for to chicken salad ham salad and an amazing meat selection. We could never just walk in and out with one bag. The service is top-notch you room when you’re busy. I highly recommend at least weekly visit at the spot.

Recently I ordered a half hog from Hummers meats, I have to say it's some of the best pork I had , they had smoked some hams and bacon that are excellent. I also asked them to make some breakfast sausage and kielbasa,both are excellent. I'm sure to order more. Also I drove an hour and half to get there ,we'll worth the drive
