Howe Farms

I discovered Howe Farms a little over a year ago and quickly became a regular. It's the only place I get my beef & pork from. You will also find a handful of restaurants that offer Howe Farms meats and a few breweries using their hops throughout the Region. Love to try out new products when available. Everything is high quality and super tasty!

This family is incredible. If you ever get the chance to join their CSA ... do it. We visited a day to pick up our CSA and they walked us around and showed us everything. They do more to make sure their livestock is happy and moving than most farmers I have ever visited. Organic and pesticide free produce !

Amazing farm practicing modern, clean, and organic farming standards. From growing hops for locals brewing, to hosting goat yoga. The farm has an air of passion and cleanliness. Stop in a grab some free range pork and beef from their self serve freezers. Have a conversation about local beers. We were welcomed with a warm greeting and left with some great food! Update. Haven't hanged a thing. Warm greetings and time set aside to make a personal connection. I always love hearing how things are going at Howe Farms.

Having a connection to your local farmer and food sources is fast becoming a long lost tradition. Howe Farms offers beef and pork from animals that are ethically, and sustainably managed. The amount of care that is shown to these animals is reflective in the taste and high quality of their offerings. The sausages are flavorful. The bacon is scrumptious. The steaks are some of the most tender I have ever experienced. Almost all their steaks and pork chops can be cut without needing a knife! Steve and Jen are such a vital part of the local food scene here in Northwest Indiana and are giving people a chance to have access to high quality meats as well as getting to know their local farmer! So head on over, get some of the best meat you’ll find, and give Steve a shout if he’s not to busy with goat yoga!

Howe Farms has the best quality meat around. The pork and beef actually taste like they’re supposed to (like meat) The meat is super tender and flavorful. Their sausages are amazing. Ever since we’ve had Howe Farms, my family has a hard time eating meat from a grocery store. The animals are raised humanely and free of any harmful antibiotics and you can taste that in the final product. The owners are great people and take great pride in their craft. I highly recommend Howe Farms! You won’t regret it.

My family and I have been purchasing pork and now beef from Howe Farms for quite sometime now and always happy with our purchases! The NY Strip steak was amazing and the best steak I've had! I often purchase their bacon and breakfast sausage since I am a breakfast person anytime of the day and they never disappoint! The Howes are wonderful people and care about the animals they raise and I love to know where my food is coming from and know the animals were treated with respect. I also love to support/shop with local businesses! Thanks guys!

In all honesty, I was rather disappointed with the Christmas Box and the quality of your product. I have cooked several steaks, 1 pork roast and the chuck roast and found them all to be fatty and rather flavorless. I wish them well, however, as a first time customer I will not be a repeat customer.

Howe Farms was recommended to me by a former Chef friend in 2021 and I have been going there for all of our pork and beef (since beef was offered) ever since. I would recommend every single item they offer but we couldn't live without the breakfast sausage, bacon, filets, and pork tenderloins. The farm stand is self-serve, user-friendly and accepts several payment options.  I've been lucky enough to tour the farm twice and the way their animals are cared for is over the top. You will not find another farm this beautiful in this area. When tours are available I highly recommend attending. If Steve and Jenn are around they are wonderful to have a conversation with and are truly a lovely family. I trust no other farm to provide my family with pork and beef and am grateful to have them so close by.

We’ve been using Howe Farms now for well over a year. We were so impressed with the quality of their meats that we recently purchased a quarter cow for our beef supply. Our friends and family enjoy coming over for dinner, and have noticed quality products! Steve is easy to work with with any questions that I have had in buying bulk beef. We often visit their farm stand for pork and love to visit Buster the cat. At the farm stand, we often pick up fun little extras like pumpkins in the fall, flowers in the spring, it’s nice to see what surprises are in available. I have already contacted Steve about continuing to stay on the bulk beef list for 2024! It’s absolutely incredible the difference in quality farm raised beef.
