Houston’s Meat & Produce

Legit one of the best places to get meat in the Wilson county area. Prices can be high at times but honestly, you can get great deals if you shop at the right times. It’s totally worth it because everything tastes amazing. One thing I would love to point out is their food they cook on the spot. They have the best cheeseburgers in nashville. They serve hot fresh meat and threes, chicken sandwiches, and much more. They even have something for the sweet tooth with plenty of pies, cakes and cookies. Legit the best place to go and get a cooked meal or stuff to grill out.

7/28/23 Had to come back and try more. As always the staff was helpful and polite. We tried the grilled chicken club and that is easily the best I have ever had. Their items are of such high quality and perfectly flavored ingredients. 7/13/23 THE FRESHEST TASTIEST “BEST” BURGER I’VE EVER HAD. An absolute gem of a find and to experience. A butcher shop and so much more. Expansive menu with all fresh ingredients. The meat is fresh on site so the burgers are incredible. They have specials everyday. we also ordered a phenomenal club sandwich and the special of the the day “Taco salad” which was a stand out. Old review: I needed a specific cut of meat and decided I had to finally drive over and check Houston out. Before I even looked for what I needed I was wowed by the fact they have a restaurant setting/menu and daily specials so we ordered lunch and it was outstanding. Great sandwiches and comfort food at great prices. When I did look for what I wanted it wasn’t readily on the shelf (5lb chuck roast) but they pulled a huge piece of meat and cut it fresh in front of me. It was also much cheaper than Kroger’s price. It is so nice to finally find a great butcher... it’s fantastic to find a butcher that also serves a fresh lunch! The people working there were all friendly and helpful.

Houston 's catered a funeral I went to plenty of food roast beef and gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and banana pudding yum yum

I love this place, not only are the staff & atmosphere out of this world, but so is the food!! You can go in and eat just like a restaurant and you can also get some groceries there as well!!! The picture i have posted along with this was their valentines dinner, it was soooooo great! 10/10 Highly recommend

I really wanted to like Houston's. The first time I went and got a 4 pack of beautiful thick cut ribeye steaks cut to order. At the same time I put in a custom order of chuck-eye steaks, 15lbs. They take time so I did this a month out, I got in a month and a half later to check since I had not got a call and they did not even have my order. So I put in another order with them, waited 3 week, went in due to no call yet. They said they would check the next day and call me. Not one pack had been done for me. Order canceled. I will still stop in from time to time to get pre-cut stuff but I will not be placing any more orders.

First time here. A good trip from Nashville but well worth it! Had a wonderful Rueban sandwich. Love everything about this market!

We almost exclusively buy our meat here. Their lunch specials are great, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. Big fans.

I prefer the "vibe" of some other butchers, this feels more like a tiny groccery store with a remarkable deli section that also cuts meat but yhe ability to order online is a game changer as is the quality of the meat.

Great selection of meats and sides, I was surprised because I hadn’t been here before. I wanted to try something different so I picked a few things and was happy to cook them at home. They turned out great. I think they prep food for you ready to eat too, will try that next time.

First time I went to Houston’s, I had a great experience. Wonderful meat selection with a hot sandwich and mushrooms. Second time not so much. I took a detour off 40 to get some meat and a meal. When I got there, no meat. None of the bison, elk, duck, etc. which considering the holidays, I can swallow that and make allowances. I order the Reuben with fried mushroom to go as I’ve got a lot of road ahead of me. It finally comes out, and I hit the road with it. I decide to go with the mushrooms first and as I bite into it, I’m hit with a sensation of cold and partially thawed mushroom. Surely this a fluke, so I try another one, and again the same thing. In short, the fried mushrooms were not cooked and served cold/ partially thawed. The Reuben was good but considering everything else, I was left with a sub par taste in my mouth. I know we all have off days, but I’m not sure how to reconcile my second experience and if I would make another detour.
