Planning a Q...head here first. Great selection of fresh meats & sausages & condiments. Ask butcher for suggestions because they're so helpful. Try some of their housemate sausage samples and I can pretty much guarantee you'll wind up buying more than you had planned 😋 large variety of sauces & rubs for those GINORMOUS steaks and chops available. Staff is very knowledgeable and location is super clean and easy to navigate. Prices are a bit more than average but there's no waste & meat/poultry is of the finest quality! A definite must go

This meat market is a must go!!! There meats are seriously so good and high-quality the people there are always the nicest and they have other options for sale there too. Everything local like salsa’s barbecue sauce drinks ect!! they always have samples available for people as well! And they just came out with their food truck today and it is absolutely amazing. He added in a free potato wedge and later on gave us fried pickles! They will be adding more to their menu soon!! seriously try them out. I’m not usually one to post reviews and what not but this place definitely deserves it. The people are seriously the sweetest people I’ve ever met.

(8/18/2025) Very Impressive selection of meats! Prices are displayed clearly and variety is apparent. Steaks, roasts, sausages, venison, fish, and seasonings and local honey. They had locally made tortillas that I will happily enjoy too. Clean place, organized items, professional friendly butchers too.

My rating is purely for their sausages. We sometimes get them once a week because they're just delicious! I have noticed some pretty high prices on other items in the store, but I feel like the sausages are fairly priced for the quality and size.

The pancake maple syrup sausage were delicious. They self make them there. The hamburger is amazingly flavorful for now I will be getting all of my meat from the Houghton meat market.

My wife and I decided to stop in on 9/3/2025 instead of going to our usual carniceria near our home. We walked in and started to browse the selection. The 3 staff working were males and at least two of them seen us enter the store. No one greeted us or made us feel welcomed to be there, let alone very unwelcome to shop here. 🤔 We did a 1 time walk around and left after feeling so uncomfortable being in this store. 😬 If you like being ignored, then shop here. If you like feeling uneasy & unwelcome, then shop here. If you like knowing that the staff see you but won't open their mouths to be helpful, then shop here. If you like feeling like your hard earned money is NOT appreciated, then shop here. 😠 We cannot recommend Houghton Meat Market after our first & last time negative experience here. 👎🏾👎🏾 Were so glad we have much better options of places to patronize in Tucson.

By far, the best butcher in town! So many great products, my favs are the T-Bone steaks and snap hot dogs. The best surprise are the selection of store made sausages, so many to try; loving the sun dried tomato/mozzarella and Nashville hot. Be sure to check out the 50% off freezer next to the cashier.

Always friendly! Quality, free range: bison, elk, lamb and selection of seafood. Ask for their similar cut to a sirloin. Definitely try, what they call, their “handsome steak” -great for grilling! The tomahawk is also amazing. Homemade sausages and they take custom orders. The chicken is antibiotic and harmony free. Best community meat market.

Excellent addition for us east-siders. They were giving out samples of house made sausage, very good. Typical selection of meat products, and I’m sure more not one display. Has a small market vibe with cheeses, sauces and fresh made pastries. Grabbed two of their “handsome” steaks and was very pleased. Extremely tender, two were plenty for wife and I. Everything we have gotten from here has been great. If you call in advance they will make custom for you. I highly recommend the green chili cheddar burger. It never disappoints.
