Excellent choice for beef. We no longer buy from any grocery chains. Most times we get 10lbs of ground but sometimes we also get the special which includes 5lbs of ground and several other cuts for a decent price. Maybe they will throw a hat in for me some day because I went bald long ago!

We love steak however, we live on a budget. Although I cannot personally afford most cuts they offer, just one sirloin for roughly $11 is enough to feed both me and my son. Even my 12 yo. raved about the difference in flavor. Tender, juicy, flavorful! We often make a trip to the Corsicana HEB to purchase our meats but after our visit to HRL, they will now be our go to for anything beef. Pictured is the difference between sirloin.HEB (on the right)and HRL sirloin(on the left). MAJOR difference! HEB is chewy and lacks flavor in comparison. I will say I’ve had better jerky for the price is fairly high for two small strips of meat and the marinade was not preferred. I like my jerky dry and chewy and theirs is pretty moist and very similar to store bought.

The beef is consistently tons better than grocery store beef. Great quality and great staff.

Reasonable prices , good selection and great quality. I typically buy prime from Costco and this was as good or better in flavor

Every cut I've purchased has been absolutely delicious. Whenever we have friends from out of state or out of country, this is their introduction to Texas beef. HLR is the only place we buy for ourselves anymore. It's great that they're neighbors, too!

Absolutely delicious meat without having to put a ton of seasoning on it! The marbling on the steaks is incredible. I also love that their hamburger meat is in a vacuum sealed bag rather than in a tied up tube. Prices are fair, no gouging. The woman working the counter greets you with a smile, is very sweet & also helpful. Highly recommend HLR Beef!!

High quality meat! We have loved everything we have purchased from HLR beef! When I cook the ground the fat is clear and you do not have the sludge you get from store bought beef. And you can't compare to the fresh clean taste of this beef. We have also tried a brisket which came out so tender and juicy and a pot roast which shredded perfectly and was delicious. Steaks are great as is everything else we have purchased! Don't miss the beef bacon, summer sausage, and beef sausage sticks too! Great treats! We will never go back to buying store bought beef again! Great product and great people!

I always thought all beef tasted the same until I tried HLR Beef Shop! The taste is far superior to anything you can find at grocery stores like Walmart, HEB, or Kroger. I’m pretty picky about hamburgers, but the burgers I made with the HLR Beef hamburger patties were easily the best I’ve ever had. The shop is nice and clean, the service is always friendly and super helpful, and you can tell they truly care about getting you high quality meat for affordable prices! No sense in wasting your money on grocery story beef, HLR Beef Shop is where it’s at.

I had heard that the beef here was very good so I tried it. I was disappointed that it was frozen rather than fresh and it was also very expensive. It worked out to be $21.00/lb for the NY strip's that I bought. I can get usda prime for less.
