I had him butcher an entire deer for jerky and bologna. Quality butchering and very good too! Nice guy and runs a tight ship. His shop is clean as well. I have also enjoyed his steaks, sausage and bacon.
I have gotten a half of cow from another company before but I will say that Leonard was polite and prompt with details about order, his business was extremely clean when I went to pick up meat. Packaging was done correctly and labeled clearly. If the meat tastes as good as looks, this will be the only place I get my meats in future.
A hidden gem among the hills of WV! Can’t recommend Leonard and Hill Country Meats enough. You always walk into a spotless shop greeted with a smiling face and a full freezer that’s easy to find what you need. If you’re looking for fresh meat that doesn’t have all the added junk from your supermarket, or somebody to make you the best venison summer sausage around, Hill Country Meats is the place to go! Bought some pork belly, and once I cooked it, it tasted so good I was left speechless. This place has great prices and amazing quality meat; I recommend it. The drive to this shop is worth every penny.

Hill Country Meats, LLC butchered and package my beef. Very pleased with the cuts, the way it was packaged and separated in bags, well marked. Done exactly like ordered. Friendly, fast service. He has other items for sale too. We had to try the boneless pork chops! Incredible! We recommend this business and we look forward to going again.
The level of service is good, but the quality of the meat of the lambs that the owner raises himself is pretty low. It has a lot of fat and not very much protien, which makes it bad value for money. When I lived in Wales, I was able to get similar products to his freezer lamb and they were much better quality.
Best Beef In WV my wife & I gone 2 times already & the Beef is Amazing! Mr.Leonard will gladly help you in anything & he has every beef cut in existence. 10 out of 10.
