Highland Acres Homestead

Highland Acres Homestead is truly a hidden gem in Central Texas. Anja and her husband, Frank, created the most beautiful and unforgettable setup for one of the most important days of my life proposing to my girlfriend, who is now my fiancé! The homestead itself is breathtaking, surrounded by rolling pastureland and the charm of their animals from the majestic Highland cattle to the curious kunekune pigs and even the peafowl that make the place feel magical. It’s a setting that feels both rustic and elegant, perfectly blending nature with a warm, family-centered atmosphere. Anja and Frank were incredible to work with. They went above and beyond, paying attention to every detail and ensuring the space was not just gorgeous, but perfectly tailored to the moment. Their passion for their homestead and the experiences they create truly shines through in everything they do. Thanks to them, we now have memories and photos that look like they belong in a storybook. The spring fest was wonderful! It felt calm and relaxing to be in nature and it wasn’t crowded at all. Got to meet the baby cows, take pictures with the Easter bunny, and play on bounce houses and more. The egg hunt was awesome. It was a wonderful family farm experience and we’ll be back next year!

The fall market and the grounds were so much fun. We loved the animals and picking up feathers from the peacocks.

I loved this place. I loved seeing & petting some of the animals. Also, getting to talk to the owners. I had a great time, the owners are planning to do more car shows & have activities for the youngsters in the future 😀 …

We reached out to see if they would be able to bring some animals to our office for a special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised that they could and for a reasonable price! We are a 24/7 operation and it can be difficult to provide a special event for staff. Everyone was excited to see, pet, give treats and take lots of photos with 2 mini cows and 2 baby goats! Anja and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, easy to work with, offered to take pictures and made sure everyone enjoyed getting to spend time with Sugar, Pumpkin, Rico and Paco! Thank you for a memorable time and hope to see you again soon!

Cute little family homestead / farm. They typically hold events and you can visit with the animals. Great fir little ones. Very family friendly. They also carry a few products such as eggs.

The markets are a must do! Especially with the family! We love it here and are so excited for their future plans! Already got our tickets for Christmas!

Pretty much all you do here is walk around someone’s property. Not the friendliest people, not much to do. Kids were bored within 20 mins. Needs to be organized better. Just a letdown for the whole family. These people seem to just be trying to make a quick buck…with nearly $200k worth of vehicles at their house. Would not recommend and will not be back.
