This is a terrific family farm where they raise small numbers of animals with personal care, and produce truly excellent products. I purchased half a pig -- from a heritage breed Ossabaw Island Hog. I was welcomed warmly when I came for pickup, and I have been thrilled with my purchase. The quality of this locally-raised, small-batch pork is on a entirely different and better level than what can be found in any store, as I could observe from the taste and meatiness of the bacon (and clarity of the melted bacon fat), and as I hope you can see from this picture of a delectable Sunday roast.
We are enjoying the heritage pork from High Silo Farm! We shared a quarter pig and ended up with a great variety - chops, bacon, kielbasa, roasts. But my favorite so far was the pork blade steak, different taste from steak or pork, so much better! And the owners, Saquana and Steve, are great😊 …
Beautiful farm with old and peaceful energy. The owners are extremely friendly and kind! They gave me a tour of the farm and I was able to meet their farm animals and pick up some wild herbs. Their duck eggs are fantastic ! Thank you Michael and Sequana !
Great place to get your farming needs... from ducks to turkey's and even duck eggs... very clean and great customer service!!! Will come again and again!!!
