UPDATE on 7/31/25: They carry beautiful heirloom tomatoes!!!! 🍅 😍 I'm so happy! Such a sweet little indoor farmer's market! They have some beautiful veggies! Their tomatoes are AMAZING and their duck eggs and gorgeous eggplants! Prices are very reasonable. Stop in, you won't regret it!

Went here just to pick up some raw milk and ended up leaving with some heirloom cherokee tomatoes and delicious spice blend recommended by the staff who were very nice and helpful.

T his is the definition of a great local fruit and vegetable market. Everyone we met where the friendless and genuinely gracious people we've met in South Carolina. You want people who will give you the best answer to your questions it's here. We'll only be getting our fruits and vegetables here as well as our new best friends.

You can’t miss getting fresh vegetables at this place near Irmo/Ballentine. I love their heirloom tomatoes especially the Cherokee Purples. This place grows tons of veggies with new varieties coming in all year long. They have some late tomatoes now along with collards, turnips, beets and different varieties of cauliflower. They usually carry raw milk and non-homogenized milk that is hard to find elsewhere. Can’t go wrong here!!!

Warning! After experiencing tomatoes from HFF, you will not be able to eat the flavorless, limp, pale grocery store tomatoes ever again. I have been coming here for many years and I promise you they have much better prices than grocery stores and the produce is much fresher and better quality. HFFs have the best heirloom tomatoes around. You won't find things that are not grown in the area like bananas or avocados in the store because they sell fresh and local. Grits, cheeses, raw milk, fresh eggs, and even legumes are locally sourced (NC and SC producers), so everything also fresher than grocery store items that are genetically modified to be picked before they are ripe and shipped from across the country or internationally produced. The greenhouses in the back have nice, healthy plants like begonias and coneflowers and in the spring, they sell vegetable and herb plants, also priced a good bit below what you find at big box stores. The employees are pleasant and never pushy.

A very sad thing happened today at a business I have supported for years. I had a very efficient agreement with the patriarch of this family to PREPAY for unpasteurized milk and then pick it up within a few days of delivery to their market. I'm a full time caregiver to a dear elderly friend who recently became a widow and has no family to look after her, so I have very little free time to waste going to places that don't have what I need when I need it. Before I had this NOW CANCELLED agreement that has worked flawlessly for over a year, I would show up for the milk sometimes and the delivery was postponed or they ordered a small amount and would sell out within hours of getting the shipment. Apparently a daughter in law is under the delusion that she and only she is in charge of this family business THAT SHE MARRIED INTO and did build from scratch like her Father and Mother in law did over many decades. I see this tragedy of the next privileged generation all the time destroying what others worked so hard for so long to build, which is sad because today the REAL OWNERS were forced to look on silently as this daughter in law neglected to figure out that her rude and ignorant actions have negative consequences like this 1 star review.

This place has the freshest vegetables and fruit around not to mention the staff is always super friendly. The building is always clean and neat, This is the only place I go around here it totally beats the grocery stores

Their tomatoes are outstanding. Be sure to also pick up some of the tomato sandwich seasoning mix...its great!

The most wonderful, fresh summer produce. Fresh eggs , raw milk and heirloom tomatoes. Stop in!

Great fresh fruits and vegetables. Flowers are healthy and beautiful. Great products. A real treasure. If you haven't checked it out you should!!
