This year I ordered 3 turkeys for the holidays from Hehlden Farm. It was a great choice and I plan to order from them again! They also offer other products, such as chicken, baked goods and breads, and much more, which I look forward to trying! By the way, our Thanksgiving turkey was absolutely delicious! This particular turkey was 14.5 lbs. I make it a point to not consume factory farmed animals. Hehlden Farm provided us with a more ethical choice for our Thanksgiving turkey, due to their regenerative farming and animal welfare standards. Thank you, Hehlden Farm! We appreciate you!
We are a small time subsistence homesteader near Grand Rapids. We had 17 Cornish and need them butchered. They are all done! We are so thrilled!! These wonderful people worked magic and have them all done and packaged. Y’all are amazing!
We had our broilers processed here in June. We paid more than we usually do, but they were closer to home and many people had recommended them. Birds were vacuum packed but not frozen, so I am very glad I went right away and picked them up. I like to get mine in the freezer right away. I brought a huge cooler and picked up ice on the way home. The packaging looks really sturdy. We plan on taking our turkeys here in the fall for processing.
Would HIGHLY recommend getting your meat from Hehlden. Recently went to a "happy hour" meet and greet and was able to meet the owners and see the grounds. They seem to take great care of their animals and treating them well appears to be a pillar of their business. In the age of factory farmed meat, Hehlden is a place that you can feel great supporting. It's local, humane, well priced and their meat is delicious.
Two different turkey types, one great Thansgiving supper 2021. This year got away from me, hoping to repeat the good quality!
