Haven Farm

The Haven Farm CSA is simply outstanding. Every month, we get an assortment of different meats delivered to our door. It hits all the buzzwords: free range, pasture raised, organic, local ... More than that, the food is amazing. The pork chops, bratwurst, and bacon are huge hits in our house. The chicken is some of the best I've ever had. I like how the composition of the delivery changes each month to allow for different cuts such as steaks, roasts, and other items. Every now and then there are special opportunities as well for things like a Thanksgiving turkey. We can't recommend it enough.

We have been members of Haven's CSA for a year now and couldn't be happier. The variety of beef, pork and chicken cuts, in addition to sausages, are perfect for our family. And the meat is incredibly flavorful. Andy and Jess take a very personal approach to building their client community and it is greatly appreciated. They also host events at the farm which is an added bonus!

If you're curious about regenerative farming in the Triangle, you couldn't find a better farm than Haven Farms. Andy and Jess are lovely people, and they really care about providing good meat at a reasonable price. Compared to grocery store meat, there's a noticeable difference in flavor for all of the meat (beef, chicken, and pork), but the pork, in particular, is out of this world! These pigs live in the woods, and they feast on mushrooms, nuts, grubs, and anything else they can scavenge. All I can say is, you can tell. I think my in-laws love visiting us just for the bacon! Choose local. Choose Haven Farms.

The highest quality meat I’ve ever cooked/eaten! I only eat pork from Heaven Farms actually. Their sausage flavor and texture is amazing and we look forward to each and every pork chop. Ofc, chicken and beef is a staple for us and we’re never disappointed. Andy and Jess are easy to work with and I don’t have to guess about their farming practices with the bonus of supporting a local small business and family! Highly recommend!

Feel so lucky to have met Andy and discovered Haven Farm. Our monthly CSA meat box is always filled with the highest quality delicious meat. The variety is great and pickup at Elk Foods is so convenient. We love Haven Farms! Cannot recommend enough if you are looking for local, high quality meat for your family!

Hello sir. It was nice meeting and talking with you yesterday. I just performed a classic ground beef "off" using Wallyworld ground beef vs the newest contender Haven Homeschool Hamburger and the results are in. Without bias and with love of all things quadruped on my plate the HHH is not comparable in any way to store bought resulting from a vastly superior taste. Unfortunately I now have a grave concern. That of your family deciding to exit the business. To that end and perhaps to your chagrin I intend to release your brand and review to my latest cult members of the Carnivore dieters. We are an insatiable bunch for meat readily identifiable having a fork, knife, and salt shaker in pocket at all times.  I have never  farmed in my life thus recommend planting some new cows now or however cows are grown in anticipation for the expected onslaught. P.S. I have cc'd my wife on this email so that she can take news of my findings to her sallow sickly salad eating types that they too may find nutrition and health. Long live the grill! My family decided to try the farmer size meat CSA after running into so many problems with low quality meat or low inventory at the grocery stores. I am so glad we did. Not only are we able to stock up our freezer with 22 lbs of meat each month, but the taste is fantastic. I'm always amazed at the cut of meat that we get and the service is outstanding. It's a great feeling to know your farmer and where your food is coming from. I don't think we'll ever get our meat from the grocery store again Thank you Haven Farm for providing this service. I feel like we've discovered the best kept secret in the triangle!

We tried Haven Farm chicken wings this summer and were absolutely blown away (we still jokingly refer to them as velociraptor arms because of their size). Since then, we've had a variety of consistently amazing chicken and now pork, with the supreme additional luxury of getting it delivered during these crazy times. In short, we're really happy to support a farm run by lovely people, who value land and soil stewardship as well as their community (and getting to eat really well in the process).

Great tasting meat that is ethically raised! We are so happy we discovered Haven Farm and are lucky enough to be part of their CSA. The meat is delicious and the animals graze and forage like they naturally would. Highly recommend!

They raise happy animals and the proof is in the taste. For about a decade, we have tried to purchase meat from farms that humanely raise the animals, and in so doing, we have gotten to eat amazing tasting meat. But truly, Haven Farm's pork is the BEST we have ever eaten. We tell our friends that the best food we have had in NC is meat from the Haven Farm. And Andy is the real deal!
