Harmony Acres Ranch is a small, family-run homestead farm that offers guided petting tours where visitors can interact with friendly farm animals. They also sell garden-fresh organic vegetables and gourmet jams and preserves. The farm focuses on providing a unique experience for visitors while promoting animal interaction and education.
My husband, two kids and I absolutely adored Harmony Acres ranch. Holly was so welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. There was so much interaction we got to do with the animals and as an animal lover to my core, I absolutely enjoyed myself. It was a great experience for my kids as well to help get them out of their comfort zone and enjoy the beauty of animals. Holly also had delicious jams for sale at the end! 10/10 would recommend and worth every penny to help support their ranch.
I had the most incredible time at Harmony Acres, Holly gave us an amazing and personal tour that i’ll remember forever. I’d highly recommend going no matter what age you are! She also took such cute pictures of me and my fiancé I couldn’t be happier with our experience!!

Tucked away in the beautiful red rock country near Sedona, Harmony Acres is truly a special place that has captured my heart. What started as a simple volunteer opportunity has become one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I never realized just how much effort and work is needed every day to take care of the animals. What is so obvious is the genuine dedication evident in everything they do. The animals are clearly loved, well-cared for, and well traveled (their stories are amazing!). The farm’s conservation mission warms my heart and I love helping save these rare breeds. I can’t wait for my next visit. Don’t miss this place! Just remember to book in advance.
My sister and I had such a wonderful time at Harmony Acres Ranch! The hosts were accommodating and engaging. While interacting with the animals, we learned a lot about each of them - everything from their breed/origins, to their names & personality quirks. Highly recommend for all animal lovers, both adults and children!
This is a little piece of heaven in Cornville AZ. Anytime I am in Sedona I make it a point to stop by and visit this lovely animal & human family. It’s so touching to see how Holly has cared for these animals for so many years with so much love and attention. Knowing all the details of their dynamics and providing them what they need at her expense. Aging animals are no easy task and it’s very admirable to see how cared for these animals are. We love you Harmony Acres!
LOVED LOVED LOVED visiting the baby bunnies, a baby sheep and baby goat, horses, turkeys and the craziest looking pigs I've ever seen (kunekune from New Zealand)! The kids loved it too. They got to bottle feed 2 babies and feed every animal a snack they loved. They'll remember it forever. The big dogs were fun and loving too. Holly customized the tour for my son who was using a wheelchair and gave us plenty of attention and facts tailed to their age level. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it!
We visited Harmony Acres while visiting Sedona and it's such a gem! The owner Holly is so sweet, passionate and knowledgeable. We showed up unannounced and she graciously toured us around but I would suggest calling ahead. She has horses, turkeys full of personality, goats, sheep, pigs and bunnies and I got to pet them all. It's a bit rough road getting in there but just keep going until you arrive, totally worth it!!
This is NOT a "rescue" farm. This is an animal breeding farm. Please do not support this place. She's the only person managing all of this. No help. She forces the animals to endure pets by humans and you can tell they do not consent to it nor welcome it. No one should ever force any living being to be put into a situation where it is being forcibly touched. That is the equivalent of touching a human who doesn't consent to touching. It's illegal, disgusting, immoral and wrong on so many levels. Their "drinking" water, if you can even call it that, is disgusting and unsanitary. Yes horses make a mess when they eat alfalfa and hay but the water has built up and has algae growing in. It's beyond drinkable water. None of the sheep are sheared. It's 100+ degrees. This is horrific conditions to keep them in. They overheat. The owner claimed she can't find anyone in Arizona to help her shear the sheep so she doesn't do it. Instead she said she has been experimenting with cross-breeded the sheep with fleece with the hair sheep to get a sheep that sheds naturally. The horns are super unhealthy and full of infection. Some of the horns are even growing incorrectly and causing pain. Her response was “Yeah he can’t turn his head because of it but it is what it is.” She did say she cut one of the horns that were stabbing one of the goats. These animals are not well taken care of at all. The turkey is missing a ton of feathers which showcases feather damage behavior, stress, health issues or molting in that order. The bunnies are kept in freaking cages smaller than a dog kennel designed to kennel train a puppy and forcebred. They are then sold to anyone. No home checks, no vetting, no nothing. Who knows where those bunnies end up. Two of them were in a larger enclosure about 4' tall. The bunny ran for its life and she kept chasing it, to grab it and put it on our laps. I declined. She said one of the bunnies started biting and she'll kill him if he doesn't stop because those can't be sold. Her dogs have killed the mom and dad bunnies when they get into that area. So she's waiting for these to grow up to have more litters. What I think maybe started out as a "safe haven" for animals has spiraled. Maybe it was never that. This isn't her first location, its her 5th. She's lived in Maine, Hawaii, NY and some other states that I can't remember. She shipped the horses and said they weren't taken care of during transport in a cargo container, or from the big island to the island she lived on she shipped them back via fedex cargo plane. She said she feeds them once a day when the pigs start screaming. They live in these very small enclosures. She did put up shade structure tarps for them but I didn't see any clean water. She told me she had a cat who injured it's leg. Took it to the vet. Estimate was $5k, so she kept the cat in a kennel and forced it to heal on its own. "No its limps but he's fine" was the response she gave. No medication, no treatment, just pure suffering. I don't know if she realizes the pain she's inflicting or how incredibly sick all of these animals are, if she's delusional and not in the right state of mind or if it's intentional animal abuse and neglect. Regardless of the fact NEGLECT IS CRUELTY and these animals need to be saved. It took me a few weeks to write this review and I'm ashamed at myself but I didn't know the laws about livestock as I have never been around them. I had to do my research and speak to people in this industry to confirm my suspicions. All of these animals are incredibly sick. So, I am speaking up now. It's no excuse and I am aware I failed the animals by not speaking up sooner.
I would like to start off by saying that I figured this was just going to be a typical petting zoo… And I was OK with that. I’m an animal lover by nature, and I really had no expectation other than to just pet some beauties. Holly is absolutely one of the most genuine, kind, heartfelt, knowledgeable, and giving business owners that I have ever came across. I know a lot about business. I’ve been in the field for over 20 years. This right here is one of a kind. The stories that she shares with each and every animal just goes to show you how much she loves them and loves sharing them. Please do yourself a favor and go see her and her amazing army of animals with the most unique personalities. Also don’t forget to ask her to show you her amazing crops… She grows the biggest squash I have ever seen in my life! Grab some jellies and jams on the way out as well. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Holly for making our little vacation in Sedona so special for myself and my partner! ❤️
A wonderful guided tour by Holly - interacting with so many different animals on her ranch. Pet goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys, cat Yo-yo and the dogs. Brushed and fed the horses. The most favorite was cuddling with the bunnies. The kids and adults loved it. Absolutely recommend if you’re in the Sedona area!
