I found this place on a whim and let me tell you, I am so happy I did. Sarah is an absolutely wonderful human being. I want to start off by saying she was so warm and welcoming. She explained everything and answered any questions we had about the animals. You can tell she really loves what she does and loves all of her animals. We met King, Moe, and Lorraine and they were all so sweet. We were able to give them their favorite treats and even brush them. They are like massive dogs that just want love and affection. We were also able to hang out with some goats and some fluffy chickens. I would suggest every person who reads this review to go and book your tour. It was an experience like no other. I will be going back just to hang out with the cows. Thank you so much for everything, we really loved our time spent with you and your family.
Absolutely loved everything about our Highland Cow farm tour at Happy Dash Farm. Sarah is the owner and was our guide, and was absolutely amazing. Personable, welcoming, and shared a lot of great information about the farm, cows, and other animals. We started our visit with feeding the Highlands (Lorraine, King, and Moe). We got some time to go in and brush them as well. You can tell they are well taken care of and living their best life at Happy Dash. They were very cute, super friendly, and each had their own personality. We also got to see and pet the adorable goats! If you are an animal lover, it is definitely worth the trip. Sarah and her family have done such an amazing job building everything by hand and I’m so happy they have opened up the farm to spread the joy.
I have been to HDF a couple of times now, once for a painting party and once to take our granddaughters to meet the cows. Both times were a joy! The owner is so friendly and eager to share her knowledge of the breed with everyone! During our granddaughters' visit, they got to feed, pet and brush the cows. They were also able to enjoy the other farm animals. We all had a pleased time together! I would highly recommend HDF to anyone interested in meeting these beautiful animals!
Happy Dash Farm was so accommodating! They coordinated with Santa for us to surprise my daughter with a Highland Cow experience! The cows were all great and well mannered. We can’t wait to go back and visit with them again!
Beyond my expectations and well worth the trip to see them. Sarah did an amazing job showing us around and answering all of our questions. It’s a one of a kind experience with all kinds of friendly animals. One surprise was baby goat Oreo. Can’t wait to follow them and see the new additions to their farm. Watch out for the rooster!
We had such a fun time at Happy Dash Farm. The owner is very kind. You can book your appointment ahead of time, take your own photographer, or schedule an appointment with a photographer doing sessions at the farm. When you arrive you have time to adjust to the calf before taking photos. They are very gentle and sweet. It's a very fun experience for kids. Plus, you can get some really cute photos. I definitely recommend a trip to the farm if you're in the area and looking for something fun to do. 😊
We came up to Boomer, NC for a Coffee and Cows event. We didn't know what to expect, we were there for the cows. First of all, the highland cows are gorgeous, docile animals. They are very social and comfortable around people. We also were able to interact with goats, chickens, turtles and the sweetest little pig named Dolly Pigton. The event was super cute with feeding animals, games, MYO stuffed animals and pumpkins and mum's for sale. It was an incredible way to spend a Fall morning.
Had the best time visiting with the cute highland cows. There was also ducks, goats, turkeys and chickens. The owner, Sarah, is super nice and knowledgeable. She was happy to chat about all the animals. I highly recommend taking the time to come for a visit.
Amazing time!! You can tell they are well loved and get lots of attention and care. They all wanted to come see us and get a yummy treat. Learned lots about the cows & what work they really take to have hair that beautiful. Sarah was great to meet and we look forward to visiting again to meet the new addition.
We enjoyed feeding and petting these beautiful cows and the goats, ducks, turkey, turtles and chickens on our way to home from Asheville/Montreat. Thank you for sharing with us on such a cold 1st day of the year. Good luck with the breeding of the cattle this 2024 and beyond.
