Trip report from Hanson’s Farm. We went on a Saturday afternoon. While moderately busy, we didn’t have to wait for the hay ride. The instructions for loading on to the hay ride and selecting a sugar pumpkin from the field were not clear. Otherwise a fun experience. We saw many families enjoying themselves and they had and food and beverage offerings, including beer. Pro tip: pick up a jar of Jalapeño mustard from the farm stand at the entrance. It’s amazing.

Nice farm with good food. You have to pay to enter to be able to then pay for pumpkins. 20 bucks per adult for entry which gets you a small mini pumpkin. Seems a little too much imo.

This place is so cute and we were pleasantly surprised to see so many healthy sunflowers still in season! We visited on a sunny Sunday and we were relieved to see that there was plenty of parking to accommodate the weekend guests. (we read reviews at other orchards/mazes in the area that had people waiting 45-60 minutes just to park! *cough cough* Honey Pot, Davis Mega Maze) We walked up to the farm stand and were immediately greeted by the friendly workers at the registers, and we could already smell the sugar in the air from the fresh cider donuts. It was $20 each to go on the hay ride, look at the happy sheep, walk the premises, see the mini pond, take pictures in the sunflower field, sit at the picnic tables or benches, play corn hole, and explore the maze. Additionally, all adults are gifted a mini pumpkin, which is included in the $20/pp. We took our time and spent over 2.5 hours here, so we definitely thought it was worth the price. There isn't a map or stamps to collect while you go through the maze (which I'm not used to), but it actually made it more fun to purposely go down every path (we turned right at every fork in the road, even if we could see it was a dead end)! They also had old school, abandoned tractors in random spots in the maze which helped us figure out where we were - and they were cool to sit on and look around. The serving sizes of food were plentiful and I definitely recommend you split the baked potato ($6) and cider donut sundae ($8) because they're huge! I honestly think a family with 2 kids could share that sundae, haha. The pulled pork sandwiches were nice and smokey and came with plenty of meat, cheese, and pickles ($10). This was a great value and I hope it stays the same for next year! Oh! And more good things: they accept Apple pay and credit cards. So many farms are cash only so this was super convenient. Also they allow dogs in the maze and on the property, just keep them leashed of course :) In case you're wondering about other prices, bags of apples are $12, apple sauce $9, 6 cider donuts $8, s'mores are $5 (a little pricey), and beer was around $9

Girlfriend and I decided to stop in on an early Tuesday evening, and the woman at the farm stand sold us wristbands for $40 that included 2 sugar pumpkins and a walk thru the sunflower field and cornmaze. But as we walked outside we realize we could've taken a stroll, shopped at the farm store and looked at the pumpkins for free before eventually buying some. So we feel as though we paid $40 for no real reason unfortunately

The folks that own and operate Hanson’s Farm are so kind. It’s a small farm, but you can find many produce and glass jarred options at their Stand. Lots of different jams and spreadables. During the warm weather months, their ice cream bus operates and they make some great treats at fair prices. The owner is really kind. We asked to have a look around citing that we visit during the Fall months when there is a fee to enjoy the fun activities and property. The owner happily welcomed us to tour the farm at our leisure. We were of course respectful during our visit. The Fall is a fantastic time at the farm. Cider donuts, hay rides, corn Mazda, sunflower fields, pumpkin patches, and tractor photos. Just wonderful. There is no bathroom on site by the way! Not sure if they get a porta potty during the Fall. I do not recall one from years past. Just fyi!

Amazing farm! I took my puppy to get him exposed to more people/animals. They have horses and other farm animals. All the workers are super nice. Great pumpkin selections! Delicious cider donuts. Fresh eggs and other produce grown right there. Priced really well. 10/10 will go back. Also everyone in small groups and wearing masks. I'm more at risk so don't venture many places but I felt safe here! Puppy loved it too!

Super friendly people working here! They sell their own honey (made on-site), other jared/canned items, as well as fresh produce. They also have pumpkin picking, cinnamon apple donuts, sunflower picking, and a corn maze. There is a great spot by the pond to rest and read a book if you ever feel like it too! They have horses and barn cats on the property just as an FYI. I plan to go back and sketch the animals sometime :)

Take your money elsewhere if you’re looking for an enjoyable strawberry picking experience. $15 per quart, and no one over the age of 5 is allowed in the field without purchasing a quart. My 8 y/o really wanted to go, but we were leaving town the following day and had no need for more than one quart. They would make no exception to their ridiculous policy. We both went, it was a very hot day, and the tractor driver does not continuously loop between the pickup area and the fields. Sometimes he just stops, and takes a break, with people in the field waiting for a ride back. So, we walked back with our quarts in hand. They advertise a “strawberry festival” but this will hopefully go down in history as the most underwhelming “festival” I will ever attend. Hats off to local businesses and I always love supporting them, but business is business all the same and this one needs help.

We had a good time at the corn maze and the donuts were extremely tasty. HOWEVER, in the central area of the corn maze, we noticed large Datura Stratmonium plants growing. They are extremely toxic and dangerous plants, which can kill or induce prolonged deliriant psychosis. When we saw the very large, very well established plants growing in the maze, we decided to get our toddler out asap, because a single swallowed seed would likely be fatal, and little kiddos put everything in their mouths. Price was a little steep for the size of the maze. Overall i want to say that places like this are extremely important and good community resources, and need to be protected and supported. However, for the money they charged, they should have gotten rid of the toxic plants, given the presence of children.

Don’t waste your time. Go anywhere but here… the google reviews and pics are very misleading! This place is a dump. They charged us $52 for 2 adults and 1 child to go into the “festivities”. They advertise that hayrides are included but that’s only if you go on certain days and they still charged the full amount. The man running the desk said there were lots of animals for the kids to see. They have 1 horse and a few chickens. They give you 1 small pumpkin when you leave…but only for the adults, not the kids. Very disappointed to have paid $52 for a small corn maze and a sugar pumpkin.
