Hails family farm is a hidden basket of quality wholesome foods. We love their eggs and buy them on a regular basis. Other foods we find to be better than the supermarket are their whole and split chickens, bacon, pork chops, ground beef, ground pork, ham hocks,and breakfast sausage. The tunnel grown tomatoes they raise are fabulous! There are so many tasty fruits, veggies, meats, and baked goods that I cannot cover them all here but stop by their farmstand or store and try some small family farm eats today. While you are there, thank Paul and Joyce for continuing to bless Sullivan County with the fruits of their labor.
Update! Went back again today and just needed to let you all know they now have ice cream 😂. Owners are great. The shop has fixed hours but if you catch them you get more options, including icecream, than what is available in the self serve stand. The self service stand consistently has great produce and particularly good apples. It isn’t very large, but somehow it has a good amount of variety. The apples were so good this trip. The girls chose apples instead of cookies as their treat. This is our probably third year stopping by.
Prices are outrageous, don’t bother driving out here. You can get cheaper food at the grocery store or literally anywhere else but here. $4 for a dozen eggs and $8 for a pumpkin is awfully greedy.
I buy all my groceries as much as I can from Hails during the season. I love all of their items. I made a housewarming gift with items from their farm.
We have had the opportunity to purchase wonderfully fresh produce from Hails Farm Stand in Lopez. We have never been disappointed with the quality and selection of top of the line produce, and we are certainly looking forward to another summer of healthy eating.
