On frobergs farm. This is an easy going butcher shop with frozen and cooked meats. If you are looking to support a local meat producer, here is a good spot. The staff is very nice and they lover to offer samples. The sausage is my favorite.
Today, Bought two links of beef/pork sausage warmed under heat light. They were really good. I liked that they were not too salty. I will definitely buy more the next time I get my produce next door. Also want to buy some Boudan. I got a sample and it was good.
Busy shop with helpful staff who engage in conversation with customers on origin of meat, recipes and choices. Fresh boudin in the crockpot and wonderful selections of meat and cheese. Worth the drive. Outdoor picnic tables for families. No pets allowed inside.
We bought pork ribs, links, turkey leg and tasted brisket. All the items were dry except turkey. Maybe it was wrong time of the day. Taste what you are planning to order before purchasing. Otherwise establishment and people was nice.
Went today. I asked the older gentleman the price of the ribs. He said 19 a pd. I said how much for the full rack? He said about a pd and half. I paid not paying attention. I was charged 42. Needless to say they were OK but the price difference left a bad taste in my mouth. I won't be shopping here anymore. I prefer upfront and honesty. The sausage i bought was good, I'll give them that.
Right next to Frobergs. The staff here was super friendly and kind. They gave us a lot of samples to try. I recommend the boudin, turkey sausage, and cheese sausage. All very delicious if a little pricey.
Fantastic boudin! I can’t quit eating it. Great balance of filler, meat and heat. Great fresh hot jalapeño and cheese sausage that is half gone already and frozen bacon came home on our most recent visit. I’m excited to try the bacon!
This store is pretty cool being right next to Frosberg Farm. Originally they were giving out some samples to customers over there which peaked my interest. My wife said that jalapeño sausage was unlike anything shes had before. When you walk in there is a few shelves of items. They had a variety of home made seasonings. A lot of frozen goods ie. Dry aged Rib Eyes, sausages, etc. They sell food here as well. I tried the brisket and the beef ribs. Brisket had large chunks of fat all around so it was definitely not trimmed properly nor seasoned well enough. Could have been smoked longer. The beef ribs were the toughest ribs I ever had in my life. It also had little to bare seasonings. I came home and put some more on it and threw it in the oven for 6 more hours at 225. Great customer service -a bit pricey. All in all I would not return here.
Just drove in for some fresh veggies and beans and HAD to have their boudin. It is the BEST. It has great flavor a slight kick and chunks of pork. It is BEYOND delicious!!!!!! It remains my most favorite and I know my boudin!!!!! We been coming for over 20 years!!!!!!
Small and nice store. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t like sausage like me. Sausage here will change your mind. They sell both frozen and hot sausage. You can buy and eat right away or cook at home by yourself. There are variety of sausage but I highly recommend jalapeño and cheese one. When you have a chance to go strawberry picking at Froberg’s farm. Remember to stop by here!
