Country meats store. They have a great variety of products Special Barbecue sauces. Pork barbecue. Sausages. Fresh cut seasoning meats. They have it all. Turkey legs you name it. If you're not sure just ask. It was great. They even had turkey and chicken chops. Frozen fresh vegetables.
Everything under the sun you could want from fresh and frozen meats and frozen seafood. So many smoked products, cheese wheels cut on the spot for you. We asked for specific cuts of porkchops and ribey and they staff cut them right on the spot. We will definitely be purchasing our meats here from now on.
My family has been a customer for +?4 generations. If you're not eating Godwin's Country Meats sausage, then you've settled for second. Recipe hasn't changed since this last of the boomers was born. Always the absolute best!
They have a nice variety of almost any type of meat you could possibly imagine for decent prices, like their oxtails and softshell crabs. There are so many things in there I can spend a lot of my money on, but I have to be careful when I go in there not to spend too much money.

Iām just honestly disappointed in the oxtails I recently purchased.. used to be more quantity for your money. A 3lb box for 32.99 with more fat than meat and like 12 pieces.. not even full pieces.. very disappointed
they have the best of everything you from a country meat market ,I come from chesapeake, va. relative stay near in north Carolina, what a Joy. thank you for all you do to make the market the greatest love cynthia askew

If you like a Dan Doodle or Tom Thumb sausage, this is the place to get them. I've never seen so many in one place. haha Just ate a couple of their Hot pork sausage links for breakfast. Fantastic. Definitely worth the drive from VA if you get enough. Just went again. Perfect day for a little drive to get another load of sausages. Plus some fresh yams. (Or sweet potatos. Not sure what the difference is.) Love this place.
I go home to NC and I ALWAYS stop in Godwin's to do my Mother Sarah. She passed 3 years ago, her legacy lives on.
