Gladheart Farm

This is a communal farm in East Asheville NC. They not only have bread and veggies but also days when they have fresh made pizza in their outdoor oven, energy bars and 2 sizes of green juices . Regular farm market days ( Sunday and Wed) begin in the spring. Check their website and they are also on Instagram.

This is a very small and relaxed outdoor market. They had a small bluegrass group playing while we were there. There's is a pizza oven with nice seating at the market entry. We had the caprese and the kale/beef pizza. They both tasted great, but the kale/beef was extremely oily; drippingly so. Unfortunately it ruined that pizza for us. Visitors may notice that the clothing at the farm reflects the religious lifestyle of this group. Everyone was friendly and we did not feel at all uncomfortable.

What a sweet little Farm gathering! Live music, a tent for the kiddos to sit and play, tables to chow down on the absolute BEST PIZZA EVER (wood fired)! I mean, YUM-O...and they have GF, too! The produce was wonderful, people were very kind and thoughtful - it's small, yet a wonderful place to spend some time!

Never has pesto pizza before, it’s really good. They do pizza night on a donation basis. Really nice pizza. Truely a family atmosphere. Totally welcoming communal farm. They took us on a tour near the end the event. This is exactly the kind of experience that brought me to Asheville. I’ll definitely check out the farmer’s market.

Several individual vendors with a nice variety of items ranging from jewelry to ready to eat food. Prices seem to be good and everyone is positive and having a good time. The parking attendants are true heros! Be prepared for a short uphill walk on a nicely headed dirt road to get to the vendors. A true gem for the Oakley community.

Look into it for yourself. This is a valid one star with what is considered acceptable treatment here.

Owned by twelve tribes a cult who has been know to abuse children, and essentially use members as easy access for "free" labor. They are known under other businesses like yellow belly bakery, and have been known to actively try to recruit any chance they get. Read about Eugene Spriggs, and Ed Wiseman so you know where your money is going.

Their bread is THE BEST I have tried (and I have tried a lot around the country). Their Sunday market is fantastic, and their farm-to-table philosophy and quality products are wonderful.

We often buy produce and artisan breads from the Gladhearts at local farmer's/tailgate markets. They also host Gladheart Farm Fest on Sundays, bringing new meaning to "farm to table" -- at their farm you'll find fresh produce, bread and pastries, and tables to enjoy a nosh. Hearth-baked pizzas, as well as tacos, other foods, and vendors make for a fun outing.

These folks are down to earth people you definitely want to do business with. Extremely nice and have fantastic products. Off the beaten path, but not too far. Go pay them a visit and I'm sure you will be satisfied with what they have.

Came on a Wednesday night for firepit pizza and had a lovely time. Great talks with some elder vibe beings. Great food.

The people in this community is AMAZING you can feel the Love of God here.I stayed a week here with my friend. Meorah & didn't want to leave I had NEVER felt so LOVED & WANTED.I MISS this community..

These people have a Super Amazing Farmer’s market on Sundays from 11-3, and Crazy Awesome Pizza! Highly Recommend!
