If you like fresh food, cajun food, come on to Gillis meat market. Buy some steaks to cook your way, pork chops, bacon wrapped goodies, boudin, crackling, boudin balls and so much more. I think they even have hog headcheese. Bring yourself down and get yall what you need.

I ordered 25lbs of double smoked pure Pork Sausage. I am extremely pleased with this sausage. Premium quality, solid meat. Superbly seasoned. Expertly double smoked. Delicious! Vacuum packed, frozen, and ready for pickup. Kevin and Mary were easy to deal with when I ordered by phone. This was an excellent experience and the Pork Sausage, ummm, Kot dawg, Ca c'est bon !! A great experience. Down home meat processor with great service and some exotic meats. During the week, plate lunches are great.
Haven't eaten the boudin I just got so I can't speak to how good or bad it is, but the young woman that assisted me was fantastic. She was 10x more helpful and friendly than any experience I've had at a comparable market in many years. Food? 💁♂️ Worker I spoke to? Excellent.

This is a big ol’ HELL YEAH! I discovered chicken cracklin at Gillis MP. Smoked boudin was the best I’ve had. Don’t for get to buy their spice. I’ll be back!
The meat pie and crawfish pie were delicious and so were the chicken cracklin's. That was the first time I ever ate any and they were very well seasoned but not hot or spicy, they were good
