⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is my second year visiting Garwood Orchards, and it has quickly become one of our favorite traditions! The farm is such an amazing place—beautiful, well-kept, and full of charm. Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The selection of fruit and vegetables is unbeatable. The apples are crisp and delicious, the peaches are juicy and full of flavor, and the berries are some of the best we’ve ever had. The fresh vegetables are just as impressive, making it the perfect spot for stocking up on farm-to-table goodness. And of course, no trip here would be complete without the apple cider donuts—they are out of this world! Soft, warm, and coated in just the right amount of sweetness, they’re worth the trip all on their own. We absolutely love it here and can’t wait to keep coming back year after year. Garwood Orchards is a true gem for families, friends, or anyone who enjoys the simple joy of fresh food and good company.

I love picking my own vegetables and fruit. Apples raspberries, black berries, peppers, tomatoes and your own pumpkin. The strawberries were out of season when we made it. Great place to take your family.

Garwood Orchard is basically the Disneyland of fruit… except instead of Mickey Mouse you get peaches, peppers, and berries, and instead of rollercoasters you get a tractor ride that rattles your bones just enough to remind you that maybe it does count as an amusement ride. We went during peak season and wow—talk about options. Peaches, blackberries, raspberries, apples in more varieties than I knew existed, plus bell peppers, jalapeños, and tomatoes. If you’ve ever wanted to cosplay as a farmer for a day without actually having to water anything, this is your place. The farm store was the cherry (or should I say apple) on top. Do yourself a favor and get the glazed apple cider donut. The powdered and plain ones are fine, but the glazed is basically what happens when fall gives you a hug. They also have jams, honey, and other goodies if you want to pretend you “shopped local” instead of admitting you ate half your berries in the car ride home. The only reason it’s 4 stars and not 5? No rides for the kids—unless you count the tractor, which my kids insisted was the “country rollercoaster.” Still, super friendly staff, reasonable prices (about $25 for a peck of apples or peaches, $20 for a small berry basket), and a great way to spend the day. Would I come back? Absolutely. But maybe next time I’ll sneak in a funnel cake stand suggestion box.

I have been coming to Garwood for many years and it has brought me so much joy and good fruits and veggies. I drive from Chicago at least 5 times a year for you pick. If I can eat more…I will come more often lol I missed the Upick green beans and the Japanese pepper days. First cherry pick this year and it was awesome!

got some great strawberries and peaches here while on a road trip, apple cider is delicious as well. didn't end up doing U pick, but also the last truck is 4:30pm (updated from what it says on google) they also have some dairy and a lot of canned products. no issues with anything we got, fresh and delicious! if you have time it's a green and scenic drive, worth the stop

I went apple picking on Sunday all the way from Chicago, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. This orchard always exceeds my expectations. Staff are very nice, and they don’t make you pay tax there. The horses are an amazing attraction, and there’s also many fruits and vegetables to choose from. The shop has a variety from apple cider slushies to pies to zesty pickled garlic. I would really recommend the apple cider slushie since my family loved it, even my parents. Honestly, I loved picking the apples. Also, the Premier Honeycrisp apples was sweeter than the regular Honeycrisp apples. The bucket I bought that you see on my head in one of the photos was $40. i also just read another person’s review and they said there were apples littered all over the floor in the orchard. They blamed it on the management, but they’re actually wrong. It’s actually us, the visitors doing this. It’s just sometimes, the apple looks fresh on one side, but some people tend to be careless and always check if it’s a fresh apple AFTER picking it. They also usually throw the rotten apples away on the ground after picking it, so I’m just gonna clarify that.

Garwood Orchards was a fun trip. There is a wonderful selection of apples, along with veggies, pumpkins and of course donuts. I purchased, red delicious, yellow delicious and McIntosh, my faves. The yellow apple has a delicious favor, crisp texture, sweetness and yum. I can not wait to try the rest of my purchase. The store had a variety items for purchase from ground coffee, canned preserves, jams and Glover Ice cream. I purchased a pint of chocolate ice cream for dessert when I got home. Big mistake, yummy. A gallon would be better. The staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The store is easy to shop for items. I recommend Garwood Orchards for a fun excursion for the family.
