Great place to visit! Fresh Branch Farm is family run and owned, and the care and love that these folks have for their farm, animals, produce, and the people that they count as customers shows. Farmer Chris is amazing. She's a phenomenal example of a woman who is in charge of nearly all aspects of the farm's operation, and she spearheads efforts for community education in schools and other community venues. Only 31% percent of all farmers in the U.S. are women, so it is important to support small local farms that help to change this dynamic while supporting the local economy and environment. I'll gladly support Chris and her family farm every year! Don't miss out on getting the chance to meet these folks and check out their amazing goods - you won't regret it.

Absolutely disappointed that we drove 45min to your field today to find out it was closed and barely a sunflower field at all regardless of the closure. You shouldn’t advertise events you don’t plan to have. Will not return, $10 per car is very over priced for tall grass and scattered tiny sunflowers even if you were open.

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my cow share from Fresh Branch Farm, and I have to say, I am blown away by the level of care and attention that this family puts into their work. From start to finish, the process was seamless and enjoyable, and I felt confident that I was receiving the highest quality Beef possible. Chris and John clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in the amazing taste and texture of the beef. Not only that, but they were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process, answering all of my questions; helping me navigate the nuance of the cut list and making sure we had all the information we needed. Finally they offered to let us see the farm and bring the kids - it was a cool experience and I highly recommend If you're looking for the best possible meat from a farm that truly cares about its animals and customers, then look no further. This small farm is the real deal, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch cow share. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This little farm is amazing!! I love how it's 10 dollars per carload and 50 cents a flower you cannot beat the price! They have buckets to borrow and scissors as well which is awesome. They have a farm stand as well with honey. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous!! And they really put effort into making the little photo stations with a truck and tractor and haybales. You can get amazing photos here as well as beautiful blooms to take home!

I always love sunflower season at Fresh Branch! It’s such a fun family activity, beautiful land and sunflowers for photography. The owners are givers and you can tell ❤️ They update their hours daily on FB - sunflowers never disappoint and are priced great! There is a cost to park but make it a cheap family date!! have a tailgate picnic - pet the animals - search the HUGE fields for the perfect sunflowers, take some selfies/or book a photographer!! Such a fun time!

We LOVE Fresh Branch Farm! I stalk their fb page every summer awaiting the announcement of the fields being ready. We go at least once during the annual bloom and so enjoy not only the beautiful sunflowers and taking photos there but the animals and tractors, too! The family that owns and runs it is exceptionally sweet and we always enjoy chatting with them as well. I hope they keep doing this for years bc we certainly plan on continuing to come back!

Chris is awesome. My family loves the fresh branch farm’s fresh eggs, veggies and beef. We’ve been weekly customers for over a year now and Chris makes it so easy. We love that we can support our local neighborhood farmer. Chris is responsive, always gracious and timely and keeps us stocked and happy. Having grown up on a farm and benefited from fresh eggs, vegetables and beef I know that there are seasons for everything and that supply isn’t always predictable, but when it’s in season it’s amazing! Love love our fresh eggs and the ground beef is first class. We haven’t gone back to store bought for these things since we started buying from Fresh Branch Farms. Highly recommend.

Fresh Branch Farm is wonderful family-friendly farm operated by John & Chris. From how they relate to the public, the way they answer all your questions, their love for education, to the goods and services they provide, Fresh Branch Farm is first class. Their annual Sunflower Festival is such a fun event for whole family with so much more offered than just the sunflowers.

Dreaming of summer and looking forward to coming out again this year. This was a wonderful experience for our entire family. Owners were extremely kind and my kids loved learning about the farm and of course playing in and picking sunflowers. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely awful treatment to visitors. Me and my girlfriend went during the sunflower and fest and were met by one of the main woman owners and we got yelled at and told to pay $50 to visit. Absolutely outrageous to charge $50 for iPhone photographs when your damn sunflower patch has less sunflowers then a damn Kroger Karen. I highly recommend going elsewhere. The definition of Matoaca scum is this farm.

What a wonderful experience! I brought a small group to the farm and was so happy with the owners friendly and knowledgeable service. I bought some tomatoes and melons at a great price. I love supporting local and family owned businesses, so I will happily return soon! Thanks again!!

Great experience! It was our first time sunflower picking. Staff was super friendly, there are plenty of photo ops, and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks for an awesome time!

Everyone deserves to pick their own flowers . Everyone should go. My kid said it brought a little brightness to her day.

Beautiful sunflower fields. My children loved it. They wanted to stay for hours picking flowers and seeing the animals.
