They also offer pasture-raised beef products, including various cuts and subscription services for customers. The ranch emphasizes customer satisfaction and animal welfare in their operations.
The store is near the pasture. Was very clean and the woman working there was friendly and helpful. The beef is pasture raised but it is not an organic farm and they also use corn to feed the cows for some marveling in the meat. I did buy some meat but I haven’t used it yet. Looks good.
Great experience and amazing beef! We had a large party and the staff was so accommodating to our questions. It was great to see food production at the farm level. These are people that truly care for animal welfare and beef quality. Highly recommend. Also, how beautiful are these animals?!
Some of the best beef I have ever had. Clean and meaty. Very little fat or gristle. The ribeye we cooked on the grill was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. I don’t think I will ever buy beef anywhere else EVER again!!!!! I highly recommend it.
Beautiful location & amazing staff. You can purchase from their freezer selection, buy a whole cow, or get a monthly subscription of 100/200lbs. Lots of great options. I really appreciate how the guy working took his time & answered all my questions. He went over everything & even gave us more helpful information about the farm. Overall great experience!!
This was our first visit here. Absolutely fabulous! Gilbert assisted us with our retail purchase and shared his knowledge of beef, a ranch, it's history, and some Jesus moments. We will be back, soon.
Just grilled two fillets, wrapped them in black pepper bacon and sprinkled with garlic salt and a little melted butter. Grilled to 145 degrees internal temp. They were excellent. Most tender best tasting steaks I have had in years. Well worth the price. Considering meat prices in the grocery stores now days the price was not bad either.
A beautiful location and convenience and ease to buy meat. As soon as you walk into the building, a smiling face is ready to greet and welcome you. Our family only gets our ground beef from FSC, my kids can taste the difference in grocery store brands now. We have been buying from FSC for almost 4 years and love it. There are always special deals and recipes when you sign up for emails.
Very nice people, beautiful building and pretty good meat. Prices are decent and it is great to support local. They are also very responsive to emails and questions AND have a money back guarantee. They stand behind their products. My main complaint has to do with their cuts of meat. Whoever they use for "processing" does not give great cuts. Because of this, I have found their meat to sometimes be difficult to cook. Burgers too flat, steaks inconsistently sized, roasts also too flat, etc. The vacuum seal on the packages was also not always tight. The steaks I picked up also had a very thick fat cap which needed to be cut off. Steaks are not cheap and I hate having to throw away "scrap". The meat should be trimmed. The meat seems to be of good quality but that is only half the equation. You also need great cuts. The ranch, butcher and chef all need to be in sync.
I had been wanting to buy some beef from the Ranch for quite a while now and so I finally did last Saturday. I bought some burgers and let me tell you, they were awesome! Even my father-in-law who doesn't eat much meat really enjoyed them. I'm planning to go back today to buy some more since I like to have a burger at least once a week. As far as the Ranch itself, it is beautiful. All those acres of green grass and even the cattle bring me a piece of mind that I can't explain. It just does. Who knows? Maybe I was a cowboy in a past life or something. 😃 I'm hoping that since I am a Fred Smith employee that I could possibly get a tour some day? Lol
Up until 4 months ago I used to order my meat from Butcherbox. I finally made my way to FSC and am very happy with the staff and quality of meat. I’ll be back!
I've been getting FSC beef monthly and have been very impressed. Prices are good and the flavor is excellent. Tremendous customer service as well, they really go above and beyond. Highly recommended!
I'm writing this review from my toilet after coming down with what seems like food poisoning due to some contaminated Fred Smith ground beef. I've heard similar complaints from others who've bought their meat. My son was throwing up too. Will never buy again.
They do have a retail outlet in the main building. Everything frozen either as a package or single cuts. Good selection if you want to buy local beef.
Some of the best beef we have ever had. Well maintained property, humane treated cattle and great service.
Great people to deal with.
I don't know why you would buy from anywhere else. Amazing taste and great people there.
