We visited this little farm on our way home from Granby/New Haven CT. We have been interested in sourcing our meats directly from farms for a few weeks now and just happened to stop by this little gem. The farm is easy to access and they even have an honor system, which I loved! I love how much trust they have in their local community and in their customers. We reviewed the different offerings and prices and chose what we wanted. We even had one of the owners or employees help us as we navigated our purchase. Make sure you bring cash, not required but does help in the transaction. The meats were reasonably priced. We picked up some eggs and breakfast sausage and some taro. We cooked the eggs the next day and they were so YUMMY! I prefer these over Pete's eggs any day. The breakfast sausage was so yummy as well! Very easy to prepare and the flavor is throughout the sausage. A very light sweet taste. We plan to visit again. The farm also has animals visible, like the goats and the bunnies. You can tell these people really love the animals and care for them. Definitely recommend!

My favorite farm to get beef, pork and chicken from. Superior quality every time - I’ve tried quite a few of their products at this point and every single item I’ve tried (sausages, bacon, steaks, ground protein, you name it) has been absolutely delicious. I really only buy my proteins from here now.

Our first visit yesterday won’t be our last. The owner was super friendly the store very organized and lots of choices. We opted for one of the best Delmonico steaks we ever had. Just the right amount of marbling and simply delicious. So close to home and open daily. Definitely worth a visit.

Awesome local meat and eggs. Try the pork breakfast sausage. Spend some time meeting the animals.

Stopped by for the first time and was utterly impressed (see what I did there?) Everything was organized and easy to find. Very large selection for anyone or any family. So far this week I've had the DelMonico steak and the ground beef and both were the best I have ever had in my life. This isn't store bought who knows what, this is the real deal. Thank you for doing such a great job and I'll see you this weekend!

Some of the best grass fed beef I have found in CT. The brisket burgers are incredible, but all of the cuts are super flavorful. Customer service is great with shipping orders, too. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were out for a September drive and we stopped for lunch at The Black Sheep. Lunch was great. A woman we sat next to at the bar suggested Four Mile River Farm so we drove over on the way home. Last night we had the rib steaks from there and they were absolutely amazing. We buy our meat locally as often as we can because we like knowing where our food is from. These were the best steaks we’ve eaten in a year. They were restaurant quality and beyond. Go there. Buy some. Enjoy!

The best sirloin steak I have eaten! The farm stand is stocked with great tasting, farm raised beef, pork and chicken as well as eggs and goat cheese. This is a "hidden gem". I will definitely be back for more of their delicious meats!

Love how there is a local farm with fresh meat, bone stone, eggs, and more!

Love this local farm stand. It's just a really feel good way to get local meats. We sometimes make a family trip of it so that our son can look at the rabbits and goats too 🙂. Places like this are few and far between these days! …
