Wish I found this place a long time ago. A true butcher shop with an exceptional selection of foods. Also sandwiches and hot food/ prepared food.
Love their products! The Blood and Tongue deli meat is house made here and to die for!!! I purchased ther house made turkey and low sodium ham also. Definitely worth the price not getting your run of the mill brand name deli meats.
Among a number of items that I'm sure I'll love, I brought home a bratwurst. I prepared it on the grill and also made peppers and onions. With all that prep and on very good rolls, it had very little flavor. I was disappointed. But don't let that keep you from all that is great here because I'm not. Its the first time I didnt care fir what I purchased here. Everything but that so far, I absolutely loved. And its prices are so worth the hours drive so don't let me stop you.
A place I've come to for over 30 years now. I remember their original store, it feels like a shoebox compared to the current one. Family owned, quality food and fair prices. Breakfast and lunch on site are both fantastic, and great ready to go dinner options for the lesser cooks, too. Beats going to shop rite anytime!!
I came to unload here and people are amazing plus they got everything you need as a truck driver I wish that I see those beautiful smiling faces every single day. Unloading was quick store easy back up to unload. Store is clean thanks to everyone and keep up that amazing energy that everyone has.
So much to choose from! We had the Cuban panini and Tina sandwich both really good, big servings, chips were good too!
I just moved to Whiting and was having company from NY my granddaughters birthday. I had heard soo many say the Chicken pot pies were amazing and it is a family favorite. But I found it very bland and really needed some seasoning maybe some thyme. I will go back as I saw some other things I will try🍷 …
Forked River German Butcher Shop is the real deal! Their Black Label liverwurst is next-level rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The bologna is smoky and delicious, and the franks snap perfectly with every bite. You can taste the quality and tradition in everything. Friendly staff, amazing products this place is a gem!
Everything they make is delicious ! They have a huge selection of all types of food, not just German. For example they have homemade penne vodka and fresh stuffed bread that is so good that even friends and family in North Jersey ask me to bring all the time .Staff are extremely helpful and kind
Awesome food! People are going to this place from 50 miles away for a reason. They have a combination of old school dishes, comfort food , and new modern cuisine twists. Love it there
