The owner of BAD Craft recommended this place for dinner, specifically the poutine appetizer, and I was sold. (It’s one of my faves.) We decided to split the blue plate special which was brisket with an herbed Demi glaze, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. My husband said this was the best appetizer he’d ever had and I think I agree. Our meal was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

Yep, you found it. This is where you should eat. It’s amazing! Possibly the best hot dog (yes I wrote hot dog) EVER! House made bologna, hot dogs are amazing. We had the Reuben, burgers, poutine and bologna sandwich. Also the frozen cheer wine is top notch, add vodka and you’ll be delighted.

Flavour is king Hamburgers made the way they're supposed to. First time visiting Black Mountain and I'm ready to come back here for some more burgers. Lovely local draught. Awesome atmosphere and friendly service. Truly a winner.

They serve only organically fed and or free ranged dishes. Great outdoor and indor space for large parties and kid friendly. There is always a water dish outside and plenty of outdoor seating for us and furry friends. Great selection of local beers and a full bar. If you're craving a steak or a burger you've hit pay dirt!.

Definitely recommend!! First, this place is WAY better than its current rating! I would say this is already in the top 10, with the potential to do so much better. They are new (2 months) so a few bugs to work out. Next, very solid drink menu (beer and cocktails). The wife’s Bloody Mary was excellent (she had 2). For dinner, she had the grilled bologna sandwich which was very, very tasty (locally made mustard , mmmmm), although she would preferred a thicker cut. My ribeye was also excellent, perfectly cooked, albeit a little cooler than I would have thought. I don’t recall seeing heat lamps in the kitchen which is admirable, but requires their timing to be perfect. They have inside and outside seating, so we look forward to visiting again later this spring and trying it again!

Great food and a good price. We came around Thanksgiving and the staff helped us get a turkey from the butcher. Very friendly and helpful. The drinks were great, too. All around, it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

Just open a few months ago and doing a good job. A high quality lunch. I have gone back now for dinner. Can't say enough good things about our meal. It was even better than lunch. I had the butcher's cut which was a truly prime piece of sirloin in a beautiful beef sauce with potatoes, onions and slaw. My companion had a different special, their brisket. It couldn't have been more tender and juicy. Both meals were huge portions that provided enough for a second serving the next day. Be sure to save some room for dessert because the chocolate mousse is a deep rich chocolate experience not to be missed...not overly sweet, but very rich and filling..

By far the best butcher shop in Buncombe County! Fresh meat, locally sourced, premium cuts, amazing service, kind and knowledgeable staff and worth visiting Blk Mtn for! I drive 45 mins from Haywood county just to come here if that tells you anything.

Best burger I have EVER eaten, great fries, & I "sampled" my husband's smoked, pulled, bbq chicken (from Springer Mountain Farms, no less!) Wow! All meats are sourced from humane, nearby farms - and that's worth the drive. Loved the atmosphere, service was beyond wonderful...friendly & seemed pleased to answer our questions. We will go back.

Local dining with a farm to plate philosophy. The blue plate special was delicious. Flank steak perfectly cooked with roasted squash and Brussels sprouts, and a side of black eyed peas. Local beers on draft.

Good food and good prices. I had a fried bologna sandwich (comes with fries) and cheerwine. With Duke's mayo and mustard, it is the real deal. They also have good drink specials and spacious outdoor seating.

Excellent local grown food presented artfully. You need to try this very different venue. They have combined locally sourced food restaurant, a bar, and a meat market. The servers are well trained and accommodating.

The ribeye and Denver steaks are so good. There is a huge difference between these steaks and the ones from a supermarket. I’m not going anywhere else from now on.

Stopped in for lunch while in the area. The hotdogs were fresh and good. Staff was friendly. Outside seating area has heaters to keep you warm if needed. Dog friendly as well.
