Love butcher shops of all kinds. I always look for them when traveling. The owner was so kind, she gave us a little tour after I said we were from out of town and had never been there. Got some breakfast sausage. Bacon and meats sticks. The meat sticks were awesome. I can't wait to try the other items we got. I'll be back. Support your local butchers. Update the breakfast sausage is also awesome, better than anything in a grocery store.

I love this place! Every one that works there is super friendly and always there to give there all !!! I've always been pleased with all the meat no matter what I chose to buy whether it's a meat box/package or my own choice of meat!!! I feel blessed knowing I ( our town ) has the option to buy meat there , instead of at a grocery store where meat is questionable ( my opinion) THANK YOU FOOTHILL MEAT!!! 😁🥰💯❤️

Love this shop. The meat is always flavorful and fresh. The marinade and sauces are wonderful. My favorite is the beans, made fresh every day!

Been coming here for years. Tonight I grabbed 3 packs of pre cooked rotisserie ribs. They smelled and tasted gross, even the ones that didn't stink. Not sure what happened but the ribs were definitely rotten. Wondering how many other people might have gotten rancid ribs. Its Saturday so hopefully I'll be able to get ahold of the manager on Monday. I'd appreciate a refund since the kids and I got stuck eating mac & cheese and fries with no main course. What a waste.

Update: Yummy pickles!! Don't miss this when you get your BBQ meat. Who knew pickles could be this good, I had to come back just for more. We are new to Oroville, but have found meat euphoria. I have been able to try cuts of meat I was unfamiliar with in my long love affair with beef. The staff is very helpful with cooking tips. They are also professional and courteous. The sausage is amazing. I would like to purchase one of the variety packages, but do not have storage space. I look forward to a visit tomorrow. Porterhouse. Flank steak. Roast. Tri tip. Short ribs. Tenders. Chicken. Happy Saint Patrick's day, the best corned beef anyone has ever had! Went today and was able to steer a very nice lady to some delicious cuts and she was happy!! Love this butcher. I really wanted to make braised short ribs for Christmas, they cut some for me while I waited. Special. May 2024 I was fortunate to have visited during the Durham family Bradley and sons featured meats. We got several options, tonight it's T-bone steaks, they look terrific.

We started raining our own beef 4 years ago and had to figure alot out partly online and struggling to weed through contradicting opinions. However, when we went with the local butcher, Foothill Meat, everything was made simple and there's no denying the hometown feeling. Not only did they take time explain the different cuts they also provided information as to why people select certain cuts. Also, they work with somebody that comes to the ranch and does the slaughter on site and we don't have to watch. We've just had our 3rd cow, Rumpy done and as always everything was packaged and labeled perfectly! S.King

It was so nice outside and clean, the meat selection was great and local proprietor items sold there were great. Only gave four instead of 5 because of the service. I was greated right away but when I needed a moment to look then tried to get someone's attention they would wonder off then come back . Granted it was close to closing but there were plenty of workers already doing tasks and it seemed the girl up front wasn't aware customers were ready and would buy multiple items from the two fridges. The Mike's Smoked Cheese was deeply smokey but addictive and the strawberry shortcake was so yummy once at room temp. I got several of the pre-marinated chicken and deli meat but my husband said the deli meat tasted slimy and old (it was the last chunk of the hickory turkey so not sure if that was it). Think I will just order from there large pkg offers of a variety of meats next time. And I will give it another go and try going in the early AM.

I had kosher beef sausage made up recently. It was the best sausage ever, and this is the best butcher shop up around the Oreville area pass down 10 out of 10 the employees I will give you great service top-notch

The best meats and marinates. Their raw dog food prices are great! I love that they sell bones too for dogs or making bone broth. The cheesecakes and sourdough they have there is great too. Seriously my favorite store for all these things

When I got home with my 5 steaks purchased 20 minutes earlier, I started separately wrapping up the steaks to freeze, they smelled bad, and the side you can't see in the meat display case was brown. So I grilled all the steaks cut them up and gave them to my dog. Half a steak per day. She loves it.

I have been a customer for years. They have excellent customer service and treat people like family. Great prices and a family business. I support this place and you should too. Good old fashion MA and PA hospitality you can't get anywhere else

Love getting meat from here, I never get it from generic stores anymore. For quick lunches we will buy the meat that's in the heater racks and that's good too, sometimes the chicken is a little too salty but we recently got the tritip in there and it was sooo good!

The young girl working was super nice, they had decent prices, the quality of meat is no better than the grocery store. The hamburger quality is what was very poor.

My favorite butcher shop in butte county. They have a wonderful selection of raw meat and they also have precooked warm food ready to enjoy.
