My wife got some steaks and boudin to make for dinner tonight. Arguably better than any steaks you're going to find in any restaurant. We will definitely be using Flying T meat market from now on

I was completely blown away by the quality of meat we got. It was the most tender and delicious steak I’ve ever made. Was so good I came back two days later and bought 10 more pounds. John was very kind and patient with all of my questions. Cannot recommend Flying T Meat Market enough!!!

LOVE THIS PLACE! We drive in 40 mins to buy all our meats from this shop. The prices are cheaper than in stores for grass fed and finished (which is what the meat here is) and so tasty! John is great, always got our order cut, packaged and ready to go. He is also great at recommending the perfect cut for what ever occasion.

Stopped in for the 1st time. Grabbed some fresh ground beef. Tara was incredibly knowledgeable and sweet. Looking forward to whipping this beef up in the skillet!

Mr kayden and ms Julie where very patient with me as I didn’t know what to cook for Sunday dinner and I have never been in the store. They both where very helpful and helped me make something for the whole family.. the store smells clean and the meats fair priced and look delicious!! Fast friendly service I loved my new seasoning that I bought here to and was able to try before I bought it !!! I really appreciate the his service and this shop I will be back!!!

We stopped in today for the first time after seeing rave reviews on Facebook. And let me tell you it did NOT disappoint!! We got the spicy boudin and marinated fajita meat and oh my gosh!!! So delicious! We will literally never buy those from the grocery store again!! Also the friendliness was the best! Top notch customer service!!

I recently bought a couple of chuck roasts. We slow cooked them in a crock pot. They came out so tender and delicious. Thank you, John for your attention and warm reception. Meat is expensive. So it is great to get a great product when we splurge.

Got a couple of $42/lb. fillets on opening day. Grilled them that night. Mine was so tough, even after chewing it for a while, had to take it out of my mouth. My husband and I exchanged a piece, he agreed mine was tough and his was a bit better. At that price, these fillets should melt in your mouth. Very disappointing.

Absolute best Ribeyes I’ve ever had!!! Melt in your mouth good. Even got cooking recommendations while he cut my steaks. Highly recommend Flying T Cattle.

Just had the Best Ribeyes ever! If you haven’t been there, you need to check it out. We bought hamburger, skirt steak and sausage. Can’t wait to try them too!

Nice little meat market in the middle of Athens, Texas. The steaks we got were nice and thick. Prices comparable to Walmart's. Give them a look.

The atmosphere is great, and employees are friendly and helpful . I love the meat selections. They cut the meat fresh right in front of you so you can see what you are getting.

We are so pleased to have a local butcher shop in Athens. They are super nice and very accommodating to your needs. I highly recommend stopping in at 909 E Tyler Street.
