I use this butcher shop in Acworth/Kennesaw mostly for deer processing, but they are awesome for premium and exotic meats. Getting meat from Kroger or Publix sucks because they slice their steaks super thin or are pre-packaged at some unknown location. This is a local butcher shop where you can get whatever you want for an everyday dinner or for special occasions. Definitely underrated!

Now this place is awesome. They have everything. I'm from Pennsylvania York and I felt like home. Even got some snacks for the trip back. Love this place.

Fast, friendly and wow, great selection. All kinds of meat, fancy treats, seasonings, cheese, local honey. Something for everyone, even your pup.

I have been wanting to stop in for a while. About two weeks ago I stopped in just to look around. Picked up some Bohemian Garlic sausage. The were out of this world. The flavor permeated the whole house with goodness. A week later I stopped in again and bought some more sausages. As I was walking in I saw a sign that read, "Tomahawk Steaks" on sale, I believe $30.00 a pound. I bought one. $99.00. It was the juiciest , most tender steak I've had to date. It fed a family of three, with leftovers. Thanks to the butcher for the suggestion and cooking instructions. Like Arnold, "I'll be back".

I stopped in to buy some good ribeye steaks. My husband has a thing for prime meats and I usually agree with him. I bought two bone in ribeyes to the tune of over $70. Got them home seasoned and grilled and both of them to medium rare. They were so tough and chewy and a great disappointment . I feel they must’ve been a mistake in the grading. I will be giving my dogs a treat for dinner. Live and learn.

We are pretty regular customers here and the cuts never disappoint. The extras like the sofrito, honey, dog bones, and spices are all excellent

BE IN THE KNOW AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY!THANKSGIVING PREP DONE! I've been in here a bunch and they have everything. People looking for that giant steak, special meat, or want food cut their way? Findley's! So much more, but you should go in and start your own food journey. Like you see on shows where people get real food? That still exists today, so if you plan on a great meal or you're planning an event, check it out. I'll toss some pictures on when I head by tomorrow. This is where to shop for Thanksgiving! We cook traditional+ and that WFoods @ Barrett doesn't even have rabbits. Findley's does, and they're open on Sundays! Some people may look away from that amazing stew, but it's a special dish that means a lot, and I will be thankful to prepare it this year. UPDATE: Sorry I didn't grab pics but I was window shopping. I suggest you do the same. Dry aged prime rib the size of my kid? Check! Whole rabbits? Good to go! I am a beef jerky connoisseur and they have all kinds which is great. Wife said I could grab snacks like if I wanted jerky from WM. In my opinion there hasn't been good jerky since the 90s except specialty like I order. Here had all types amd animals. I still went with the large Cajun link, amongst the 20+ other links, under the summer sausage. I remember my grandmother would rarely get the butchered jerky when I was little because it was 50 miles up to Cuero, TX, so I only enjoyed that delight a few summers. Anyways, tons of cured meat here if you want. Those wanting beautiful cuts, I promise you won't be disappointed. Beautiful case. My mom already got Elk, boar, gator lobster, shrimp, etc. I double checked because the tails here are the size of your forearm. She got plenty too so I couldn't rationalize getting more. The only thing I asked was if people wanted frog legs. Great price but we just have so much to cook already I didn't grab. My point is if you want food come to the butcher shop. I remember my 1st medium steak, I was scared before I had that wonderful meal. This butcher shop is where you're going to get meats I would consider safer being it hasn't had all the weird stuff supermarkets do. I would absolutely try a rare steak or prime if it came from Findley's. Like that wonderful 1st medium cooked steak I had should be your venture into the butcher shop. I bet you'll be surprised and if you're wanting something special then they probably have it. I left the store hungry for food but full of ideas. I think I will mark meats and we just make a special dish a week or when we can. Rather than go to a restaurant splurge on that Flintstones cut. They have seasoned ribs ready for you. They have fresh cuts ready for you. They have aged prime ready. All the specialties you can imagine including kangaroo. To list what they have would be longer than my book here so go in for yourself. Happy eating!! Hunters know to get with them buy in case you're wondering or don't have the time to process then call them in season.

I went in today with high hopes because I've never been to a butcher shop before and the reviews were for the most part gleaming. I was very intrigued by the package deal prices but I wanted to try the meat before I could justify a pricey [but reasonable] purchase. The prices in the case were a lot more than I expected, but from what I've read the quality was supposed to be exemplary so I purchased their top sirloin at $17 a pound. Again that price was kind of shocking because at whole foods they sell it for cheaper. It was turning a bit brown on the edges, and it smelled a bit strong for beef but not spoiled. I grilled it and even through the smoked flavor from the grill it still tasted very strong. It gave me the impression it wasn't very fresh, and I was definitely not impressed with how it tasted to how much it cost. Definitely better than a kroger steak but not much better. If I do go forward with purchasing the packages I hope that the meat that comes with such a large purchase will be fresher than what I got today. Edit: After the owners reply I decided to give more things a try, their price on Chilean Sea Bass is unbelievable. I picked up the gourmet package today too. I was able to sub out the tenderloins for more chicken, which is great because I can customize it to my family's taste. Everything I received today looks amazing, I can't wait to try it. Thanks for getting me back in David!

I like this place, sadly the product I bought (Leg of Lamb) I did not like. It was very.. peculiar. Which I very much regret buying as I love cooking especially with fresh ingredients and wouldve really loved to put my heart and soul into a steak. However, even after basting in butter, Thyme, avocado oil, and garlic and onion, that grassy smell and taste just wouldn’t go away. So, it became very expensive dog food. I also bought beef and chicken, so I look forward to making my secret recipe chicken gumbo and some fiesta tacos! Will definitely be trying the duck and elk too.

Some nice products and their frozen fish turned out to be very nice and fresh. Their smoked nova salmon on the other hand was off. It was sour and not safe to eat. I called to let them know, so that they would check the remaining stock to make sure not to sell more that had gone bad. Kurt decided to give me the third degree about the temperature of my fridge and told me to bring the opened fish with me so they can take a look at it when I come back. Well, don't worry. I won't be back. I shouldn't have to explain that my refrigerator is in good working order and that I know what fresh lox tastes like. Hard pass on ever returning.

I went in today for the first time after seeing a tent set up outside giving away free steak! Who doesn’t like free steak? Went in and asked for chicken and steak for fajitas and was told this wagyu flank steak was really good. I went with it and the two butchers obliged me when I asked for them to cut it up for me! After cooking it I was told it was the best meal I had ever cooked and another said it was the best fajita meat they had had. The steak melted in your mouth. Thank you to the two butchers for the suggestion and also for the great customer service. I know I will be back and I’m pretty sure the others that ate with us will be making a visit. The free steak cooking outside always gets me in trouble!!

Ronny and staff were awesome. There is everything you can possibly want at this place and great quality. We plan on taking advantage of the packages they have so we can buy several months worth of meat at once. They also have a variety of honeys, beef jerky, treats for dogs and a lot more. Highly recommend!

Google

Absolutely the best butcher shop and processor around. We get a deer every season and the processors we've used in the past were mediocre at best. Almost seemed like they just chopped it up and wrapped it. Not Findley's. We ordered smoked sausage, brats, polish, summer sausage, pepperoni and several other varieties. All of it is phenomenal. I've called them several times to ask questions and they take the time to help me with ingredients and how to cook it. Our family also orders a quarter cow every few months cause we are HUGE meat eaters and Findley's will be who we order from next. I'm 100% confident the meat will be USDA Prime or better with super marbling and the cuts will be perfect. Forget grocery stores, we want superior meat made with real ingredients by butchers who know meat. And we finally found it after all these years at Findley's.

The food here is always so fresh and so well prepared. What really puts it over the edge to five stars for me is the customer service. Even if things are busy in the shop, the staff is always so informative and helpful. Fair prices, great food, amazing service. Absolutely would recommend stopping here for meats, local honey, and pig ears for the dogs.

The absolute best butcher shop I have been to. Competitive prices and meat you can’t find anywhere else. The customer service is excellent. The owner and the staff take their time to explain any questions that I had. Extremely personable and down to earth. I purchased some Wagyu beef ribeye from Japan and I cannot wait to taste it. I was worried about messing up the meat because I had never had the opportunity to try this cut of meat let alone cook it. They took the time to explain to me the differences in cooking, resting time, and seasoning. They also reassured me that cooking would not be much different and made me feel much more comfortable about the cooking process. The shop also had a wide variety of package options that I can tell you I will be trying later. Anything from entrance packages to “fill your freezer” options. There was a significant discount for all of these packages. All of the meat in the store looked EXTREMELY fresh and better than anything you could find at Kroger, Publix, Sams, or anywhere else I have been in the area. I honestly cannot say how happy and impressed I am with this local butcher. This is definitely the place that I will be visiting over and over.

Best steaks in town? Is that your search? Search no further Acworth. This place is awesome. Just bought a very wide range of different steaks from here and I have to say, I don't want to go to another high end steak restaurant again. Paid half the price you would if you went to a real expensive steak restaurant and I got about twice the steak too!! It was so tender. Seriously people, go here and ask questions and get exactly what you are looking for. NO MORE GUESSING! They are super friendly and love to show you what makes them different. I also picked up their lobster and it was awesome for its size. HUGE! The spices for the steak were perfect. Can't wait to try this Wagyu one I picked up also. That one is like the Kobe steaks you see at high end Japanese restaurants. Really everyone, they have it! Make this your first and only stop if you really want to treat your loved ones!!

As a personal chef, I depend on high quality meats to satisfy my clients. I needed 2 - 3lb Chateaubriand roasts for a recent dinner. Findley folks laid out 6 tenderloins for me to choose from. I selected 2. They were cut, trimmed and off I went. They were both outstanding...client was delighted as I was. Thanks guys!!!

Check the dates on the stuff in the freezer before you buy. I get that it's probably fine, but I didn't expect to pay 10 dollars a pound for 4 month old sausage. The fresh chicken is nice though.

Wow, great meats, awesome personal service. Where else can you get Waygu streaks, huge sea scallops and 24-28 oz lobster tails? The selection is incredible and the prices are very fair for the quality of meat. No more grocery store meats. Even have treats for the pups.

I like their meets. I will never go in here again. Every time I go in there is one guy (probably the owner) who makes me feel like I am at a car dealership. He is always trying to pressure me to buy more or Wagyu or something higher priced. I started driving all the way to the butcher shop in Marietta on Whitlock.
