Farm City Halal Meat & Grocers

One of the widest ranges of fresh halal meats I have ever seen, including rarely seen cuts (fresh brains, heart, liver) and unique animals such as camel and rabbits. You can also find hand-slaughtered halal chicken here. Plus, they have a wide range of cuts of beef, goat, veal, and lamb. In addition, this is the first butcher shop I visited that sells halal cold cuts/ Deli (roast beef, turkey breast, turkey pastrami). The staff who served us was professional and quickly (maybe 15 mins total) processed the meats we ordered. However, if you visit the store on a weekend, be prepared to wait a while for fresh meat. Prices were average. No extra charge for cutting the meat into small pieces. They also have fresh vegetables and other grocery items; however, we didn’t buy those. The store was busy even on a weekday when the rest of Devon Street didn’t have a lot of people. The store felt too crowded/cramped (not a whole lot of empty space inside).

Small place, no parking and always very busy. We waited about 45 minutes to get served at the meat counter but it is TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Best fresh meat in the city. We get the veal shoulder and they cut it for us in small pieces. Worth the wait!

I called to check on the price of an item, the person who answers the phone is so rude and dint give me the price. I had always called in to place a big order as it takes time to prepare. Very rude people, I hope someone looks into it.

They really need to work on their customer service! Been ordering here for a while but the person who answers the phone is extremely rude. I have always ordered ahead and today suddenly they stopped taking phone orders. Okay that's fine. Maybe you can communicate this to your customer in a better way instead of being rude and just hanging up on them!! Very disappointed

Disgusting! Whoever answers the phone calls, unnecessarily rude and too arrogant. Without a doubt their customer service is horrible. These people don’t know how to talk to people forget about treating them as customers.

Good place for fresh meat at reasonable prices, small selection of groceries. Parking can be tricky as it’s limited on the road and it’s paid.

Stop going to this place . It not clean the waiting area is way small so don’t be surprise you you catch flu standing too close to someone sick , besides it’s pretty dirty place ..Buchers expect tip every time . They will pass you for someone who tips well. Is owner not paying them enough? Who designed this kinda system? And why any one has to tip for meats that are expansive to begin with? Just find another place that is much better , cleaner option.

9:40 AM. Saturday, May 9th, 2020. The store is supposed to open at 9 AM and all these people are waiting in the cold. Not a good management. I saw some of the workers coming past 9 AM. Dear manager, please fix this problem. Otherwise, put a note that you open at 10 AM. Customers are wasting their time and waiting in the cold.

Large selection of meats and other grocery items. The butchers have always been the most kind and the best at this location.

We recently bought several beef ribs at this market. But when we prepared them, we were so disappointed with the quality of the meat. It wasn’t fresh and had such weird taste that it wasn’t edible. In the future, please keep your meat frozen and sell only fresh meat to your customers!
