Falster Farm and Mini Cattle

Nancy and Karl are wonderful people. They take such good care of their cattle. We brought Treakel home a few days ago and she is happy and content. Does well with the halter and lead rope. She is so gentle and sweet- clearly a testament to the loving care that Falster Farm provided. One thing I love about Falster Farm is that we got to tour it! We saw their cattle, discussed best practices, and learned so much on our visit. This was an invaluable experience - rather than buying /investing in something sight unseen. Both Nancy and Karl are great communicators. They have answered all my questions- before, during and even after our purchase. They are truly wonderful people. Thank you!!!

Met with Karl and Nancy to discuss purchasing seed stock for our farm along with the possibility of a dairy cow or 2 in the future. Karl was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. It was a great visit. We look forward to starting our beef herd with Falster Farm's genetics.

Purchased a Mid-Size Bred Jersey in November 2021. Animal demeanor is almost our #1 criteria and she fulfilled that role entirely with her motherly and kind instincts. Karl and Nancy handled her well and it showed. She is the star of our homestead. Obeys commands and gets along great with LGDs, pigs, goats. She just calved a beautiful heifer yesterday. Wonderful mother. Have a bare minimum stanchion because she is just so gentle. Highly recommend Karl and Nancy. **Updated Photo to show they are both extremely healthy. We bought our dairy cow Feb 2022, we call her Bluebell. She calved in June and gave us a beautiful boy we call Beefy, and his confirmation and demeanor are excellent. We milk Bluebell without having to tie her she also has a great calm disposition and a gallon a day with calf sharing. We wanted to freshen her up so we asked Mr. Falster if he could help us out, and he was so wonderful to come get my girl and her calf and put her with the bull and return her a couple days later. We purchased 2 female mini Herefords for our ranch. One of the females delivered a very healthy boy calf 2 weeks after arrival. The Falsteds were very helpful with communication and sharing their knowledge to make our place conducive for the new baby calf and cows .The cows are as promised- gentle, and easy going. They eat the hay and love grazing. The female is a good mother. We have had a longhorn and angus cows on our property but we feel the mini Herefords are a good fit for our 10 acres and maintaining our ag exemption. We are very pleased with the mini Herefords and the experience has exceeded our expectations.

Wow! What can I say? What a pleasure to deal with. Karl and Nancy sold us a cow/calf and the whole experience was wonderful. They took great care to make sure we're set up right and answer our million questions. As for the cows, there are wonderful, docile, healthy and pleasant to be around. Could not have asked for a better partner to get our farm started.

Our experience with Falster Farm has been truly exceptional. Karl and Nancy have been so kind and gracious, and have gone above and beyond to not only help our family realize our dream of owning an A2/A2 dairy cow, but also have answered (and continue answer) any questions that have come up in the process. Our little homestead finally feels complete, and we cannot thank you enough! When picking up our cow, we were lucky enough to bring home a freezer full of pork as well. I have never been a huge fan of pork, but now at dinner time in our house, myself and my three year old are consistently wrestling over the last bites. It is by far the best pork we have ever eaten, and I joked with Karl recently that he unintentionally ruined all other pork for us by making such an outstanding product. :) Thank you Falster Farms for everything that you do, you are truly appreciated!

I just experienced 3 of the best days of my life on Falster Farm. Karl and Nancy from the start were welcoming and shared their knowledge of animal husbandry, gardening, cooking and day to day farmming mechanics, never once making me feel like I was asking too many questions or like I was doing it wrong. Karl is a patient and kind soul and Nancy is genuinely a happy, loving and giving soul (and a fantastic cook). A perfect pair and someone to aspire to. I cannot wait to go back for a much longer visit.

We had a great experience with Falster Farm. We found exactly what we where looking for in a calf. The way they raise their cows from calfs to adults is absolutely excellent. Our new little calf is absolutely beautiful, friendly and everything that was described about him. We would absolutely purchase another cow from Falster Farm. We couldn’t be happier with our calf and everything Falster Farm did for us to make us very happy customers. We would absolutely recommend anyone to purchase from them. They made our first purchase of a cow easy, they where happy to answer every question we had, helped make our transition to cow owners as easy as possible, and still continue to be a wonderful support of information in our new journey as cow owners. 😊

When we moved to East Texas, we were in search of finding grass fed AND finished beef for our family. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to find, but it actually took a lot of time to search. We came across Falster Farm and we were so excited! Not only do they raise their cows as God intended, but they are also available to "Dine & Discuss" and mentor people starting out in their homestead. Their beef has been delicious! We have a great peace of mind knowing it was raised on the pasture and free of all the "extras" you get from commercial beef. They have been absolutely wonderful to work with and get to know. They are full of so much knowledge about animals, gardening, and so much more! We look forward to our next 1/2 cow from Falster Farm!
