Ellis Meat Market

Hands down to me Georgia has the best tasting sausage you're going to find!! We make the trip annually for some of Georgia's delights from Florida. My favorite place was closed but you can't go wrong by a new place we found that was open called Ellis Meat Market! It was further away but they had all I needed and then some. They make a smoked pork roast that may have been the best I've had. I will making another trip sooner than later and would highly suggest for you to make a visit!! Just delicious!!!

I’ve been living in statesboro for over 20 years, and Ellis’s is the GO TO place for buying meats, groceries and any last minute meal plans, they have one of the biggest selections of cuts and varieties of almost any meat you can think of, even gator tail! They also have pre-prepped home made meals for college students needing a break from ramen noodles, all you need to do is go there, select what you want, purchase and take home and throw it in the oven to cook, it’s a simple easy and a great way to take a break from fast food, or if you don’t feel like waiting they usually have ready to eat cooked meats packaged to go on their counter, like ribs, Boston butt and much more! I encourage everyone to go there and meet their friendly helpful staff and get some great food!

Im gonna be honest here and tell you as a customer for many years Ive become a little put out with Ellis. Not as impressed with what they call prime, choice ,and select. And ive noticed it elsewhere in other markets as well. Select grade being passed off as choice and choice being passed off as prime. And they dont do themselves any service with the big white meat cutter and his friendly demeanor (sarcasm). That being said, the women at the checkout bend over backwards to make you happy. And ive always had good results when ordering a whole hog or something along those lines. Maybe being the only game in town has become telling. Trying to be constructive with my criticism here. Not gonna write them off just yet, but they need to get back to the bone of what made them good to start with.

Overall great place to get fresh produce. They have everything from chicken, duck, turkey, beef, pork to any kinds of fish, shrimp, sheep, goat and more. They also have fresh vegetables and fruit as well as condiments and seasonings. Usually very crowded though for its size so keep that in mind when you're debating to grab a cart or not.

This is the best establishment in Statesboro with the best qualities abd the freshest qualities they have everything you want and look for if you want all the best varieties go to Ellis such a beautiful warming friendly environment feel like family when you walk in they are the most friendly individuals ever always ask what you need always just the best atmosphere ever and the best prices and the lowest prices for the best qualities of and the freshest products ever and produce and seafood and pastries as well so if you want the best in town come here they have the best associates and employees evee so if you want the very best come on in to Ellis to get the best service best qualities and best prices ever

They have the best meats in town. I have bought meats to grill (burgers, Hotdogs, pork chops, steaks) meats to smoke (Boston butts, brisket & ribs), meats to fry (chicken fingers) and Low Country Boil. I've always been please.

I love this meat market and ERIC is the BEST butcher hands down!!! He knows his stuff and takes his time to make sure everything is cut to the customer's satisfaction!

This was our first time visiting but it surely won't be our last! To start with, the customer service is outstanding. Both buildings have friendly, smiling faces ready to help. At least 6 employees spoke to us or asked if they could help us. So friendly & kind! We were able to purchase vegetables, cube steak, fresh sausages (THEY EVEN HAD FRESH BLUBERRY SAUSAGE😍), catfish nuggets, chicken nuggets, chicken tenders and fries all for under $70. I'll pay that any day over the high prices at Walmart for brown meat! So glad we found this gem. We will be back soon!

My go to place for fresh cut meats! And I absolutely love their low country boil kit and I challenge you to find better corn and smoked sausage in Statesboro for a boil! Made a boil tonight 12/13/2021 with their 1/4 boil kit
