It's a little way out in the boonies, but Buck Eckermann has been a friend for years. They will cut you anything your heart desires while you wait. You don't have to worry about it sitting in a meat case for days. You're a sausage aficionado? They have a multitude of flavors. Summer sausage, beef, beef and pork, jerky, on and on. Prices? Quite reasonable. Bring your 100 quart igloo cooler and fill it up for the freezer! Get some fresh ground burger, and then get some from the grocery store and look at the coloration of the fresh ground vs store bought.

Eckermann’s Meat Market 2543 FM 1457 New Ulm, Texas 78950. Had sausage made there. Asked them not to put so much salt in it but it's still too salty and worst of all THERE ARE BONE FRAGMENTS IN EVERY BITE!

Had a while swine processed here. The pan sausage is fabulous! The seasoning is delicious and it's not greasy. The bacon is thick and smoked nicely. Waiting to try the hams. Everything labelled clearly and priced fairly. We definitely recommend.

I was so disappointed with this meat market. You'd think they would sell quality products. All you pay for here is fat! If you ask to trim it off, they look at you as if you asked the impossible. The chicken is surrounded with skin and fat. The oxtails were nothing but fat. By the time I finished trimming off all the fat, which is the butchers job, I barely had any meat left on the bone. I won't be returning, HEB sells better meat products.

OMG!!! Just to walk in and the atmosphere is AWESOME!!!! Everyone is so NICE and FRIENDLY!!! The products are GREAT!!! and reasonable!!! We travel from Rosharon to get our meat and is never disappointed. They are a MUST try.

Purchased a half calf and this was well worth it! The price was very fair, even with stores raising theirs. Some of the most tender steaks I’ve ever had! I would recommend this place to everyone and they have definitely earned a repeat customer.

Best butcher I have ever been too. Their cuts are wonderful, their sausage is amazing, and the cured meats, bacon, and such are outstanding. They also make the best venison sausage I have ever had. Really just a great butcher shop.

Ehh, been to better markets. Gave it a try to have some goats processed. Not too impressed. Asked on drop off to have them quartered and to save a few organs from them. Was written on my order. Showed up for pick-up, they weren't quartered. Did not save any organs and several employees caught a bad attitude when I asked why they weren't saved. I wasn't rude about it, I just asked why they weren't saved, they had no answer for me. Older gentlemen working can't make eye contact with you when speaking and acts as if you're a nuisance when asking questions, he also had a completely different attitude when talking with women than men. Not impressed, will not continue business with them.

These guys are awesome. They always have exactly what I'm looking for. Some of the best cuts and it's always fresh and delicious. To top it off, they are always friendly, welcoming and reasonably priced. I love this meat market

I and my family think ECKERMANN'S has the best tasting meat around these neck of the woods. The staff is very friendly and the store is always clean. We Love Them.

I always pickup some Eckermann garlic sausage when I visit Walmart in Sealy. If they are out, I just wait for them to restock. My opinion, it's the best compared to al the others, and worth waiting for.

Their smoked dried sausage is worth the trip. Its an old school meat processor run by Bohemians that really know what they are doing because they have done it their whole life.

Holy smokes! Very disappointed. Took Eckermanns two (2) young goats to be slaughtered, skinned, cleaned and quartered. Also requested the hearts and livers. When They were ready, they called. We showed up and the goats were slaughtered and skinned. NOT quartered. NO hearts or liver. They said inspecter must have refused them. BIG LOAD OF BULLSQUAT!! We were hoping for better as we have cows and goats to be processed. Won't be at Eckermanns. Very disappointing. They should be very ashamed of this. Terrible!!!!!!

Great country meat market! The physical address is Fayettville, not New Ulm. If you go south on FM 109 from Brenham past Industry, you are going the wrong way. lt is worth the drive!

Best sausage around. I have been eating this sausage since 1980 when we found their little shack they used to operate out of. Thanks for having a great tasting sausage.

They always have what we need. Reasonable pricing and great quality of meat. Sausage is delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.
