Go for the blueberries, enjoy the scenery! Even in the rain, my friends and I loved our visit. The location is near the East River in Mathews County through a series of turns through lovely wooded roads. The prices are very reasonable, and the owners helpful. Good fun for all ages.

All I can say is wow. We own a B&B nearby and use all local/organic foods whenever possible. Went last weekend and found the farm to be amazing, tons of great blueberries!

Peter and Diana are the best people! They have a quality product and are great stewards of their berries, asparagus and oysters.

We love this place! The owners are great to work with! The blueberries are the only fruit around that is not sprayed. There is no poison ivy because the owners worked hard having taken it out by hand! It is a wonderful place to meet with friends as a fun activity. The price is affordable. Every year our large family picks about fifteen gallons to eat fresh and to freeze. The folks who pick here tend to be super friendly and thankful for the blessing of this farm. The only thing I would humbly ask is "Could you make the opening day of the season on Friday or Saturday? We worship in church on that Sunday opening.

East field farms is an amazing experience. Beautiful, plump, HUGE blueberries, that aren't sprayed. I love to pick them in large quantities so I can freeze them and enjoy them all winter long. Don't forget to bring a container to tote them home in. Also, just FYI, blueberries are ripe in the heat of the hot, humid Virginia summer, so don't forget a hat, sunblock and water if you'll be picking for awhile.

Specializing in blueberries, asparagus and oysters. This is a wonderful family owned farm right on the bay. The owners are very helpful in steering you in the right direction for the largest selection of u-pick blueberries. They provide containers to pick and request that you bring your own to carry it home. This saves an extra cost of a bucket you will probably never use again. Asparagus will be in season soon and they are taking orders.

This is the place to go for pesticide free pick your own blueberries. You need to check their Facebook page before you go to make sure they are open as it is an elderly husband and his wife who operate it. They usually are open until 1pm but I have seen them close earlier which is why you need to call or check their Facebook page.

Spray free blueberries, all of the income from this day's picking goes to the Gloucester Mathews Humane Society. Fields are closed for the season.
