Doko Farm is a small family farm focused on sustainable and compassionate farming practices, offering a variety of natural, free-range products including eggs and heirloom meats. They provide educational tours and engage with the community through events like the Richland County Ag and Art tour. The farm emphasizes the importance of happy animals and chemical-free produce.
Thank you Joe and Amanda for a fabulous visit! I was able to visit Doko Farms during the Richland County Art and Ag tour and had a wonderful time. Amanda led a very exciting chicken race with a very close finish and Joe provided an educational, interactive, and entertaining tour of the property. Joe discussed the methods they use to keep their produce free of chemicals (cover crops, fences, leaving ground cover for pollinators, etc) I was even able to pick and eat a plum from their tree! You can tell how much love and thought has gone into this farm. As Joe said, they work with nature instead of trying to fight it. The vendors they had on site were incredible and included an on-site painter, a community seed swap, local produce and meat, and more! I would absolutely recommend a visit.
We went for the Ag and Art tour for Richland County and it was amazing. The chicken race was fun. The guided tour was very informative. The farmers are really sweet. The food from here is the best. This farm is highly recommended for those that enjoy heritage meats. The meat is lean and very flavorful.
Friendliest farmers! Delicious food. A must try. Their email newsletter and social media keeps me up to date perfectly on tours, what farmers market to find them at when, and helpful info.! And their farm kids are pretty cool too!
This is a wonderful small family farm. It is is dedicated to the intelligent, compassionate stewardship for all elements of farming -- animals, plants, and the soil. Their eggs are wonderful, as is the meat from free-range, heirloom animals and flocks. Happy animals is the key. I highly recommend their products.
I would recommend to NOT follow the cooking directions listed. My turkey was ruined by cooking at 400 and using oiled parchment paper. I could not see the turkey with the parchment over it and the direction said not to open the oven. These turkeys do cook faster but if using a high oven temp it will burn the turkey.
We purchased an 11 lb. farm raised turkey from the nice folks at Doko Farm and we followed their brining and cooking directions, and boy was it a great turkey meal for our family!
Doko Farm produces the most fabulous natural free range thanksgiving turkeys. I highly recommend reserving a turkey from them.
The place is good for rice growing and fertile which has attracted settlement.. and also supplies mbale City with food inform rice, beans and bananas
I think it's out of business or I just went on a bad day call first
