You can definitely tell that even the chicken was a little smaller than the store-bought because it doesn’t have the steroids you can tell. It’s all natural fed and the taste brought back memories from my grandma‘s chickens from the 90s and early 2000 days! Even the steaks when I fried one of the steaks in an iron skillet, it fell apart when I was done cooking it. It was amazing. I try to go every two weeks to restock my deep freezer. Spend about $160 on chicken and beef. About 30lbs.
Best place to buy meat! Great prices and friendly fast service. Would definitely recommend for farm fresh meats.
Over 70 $ for 4 ribeye steaks meat not that worth it👎meat wasn’t even above meat you can get at grocery store which is sad …
Had a good first experience. Second experience, not so much. I could buy better bacon at Kroger. I asked for a pound of ground beef and this is what I get? This is not a pound.
Just had our first steak and will definitely be coming back for more. Rolled in 10 minutes to close (like a jerk) and was greeted with a smile. If your in the Delaware area get your meat local, not krogers.
We've been getting our beef butchered here for about 6 years now. They do an excellent job . Plus, they sell good quality meats .
You wrote a review for Delaware Meats 3 minutes ago 1.0 star rating 9/20/2018 Fajitas anyone? We purchased a 1/4 of a beef. We requested steaks of 1", as we like to grill. My husband actually had a conversation with them about the thickness of the steaks. First steak we opened, 1/4". Hello? I thought it was a flank steak. Nope, ribeye. Who the heck cuts it that thin? We returned with some frozen steaks, when opened, they measured 3/4". Where is the 1" we asked for? Then, they said, grass fed beef doesn't stand up, it will flatten out. Well, why didn't they advise us to go even thicker? Very disappointed. We have basically spent hundreds of dollars on fajita meat.
Everyone was very professional and they loaded my car with a 1/4 cow. The handler was also very friendly and kept a conversation going as he loaded the truck. Since this is a small company, I paid with a check instead of a credit card which they really appreciated. The fees that Credit Card companies charge small businesses is ridiculous. The meat was cut and packaged as requested. I will use them again.
I grew up in Delaware and I now live in Denver Colorado. Visiting my mother for her 92nd birthday. I was telling my wife that my mother always cooked fresh-side bacon. I had asked where I could buy some and I was told Delaware Meats. I went there and the gentleman who waited on me was very friendly and helpful. I bought 3 pounds. Gave 1 to my mother and brought 2 back to Denver. I highly recommend Delaware Meats their prices are half as much as regular meats. Hope fully I can order some through the mail. If not I will have my family mail some to me!
My background-- I was raised on a farm and I know a little bit about fresh food/meat. I don't buy meat in a grocery store & never would (YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING). I have been buying from Del Meats for 15yrs and have never been disappointed. The consistency has always been there. The beef/pork etc.. is all raised locally and the farmers don't shoot up the animals, so the meat is of good quality. So, if you are a local, do your health a favor and quit buying (the unknown) in the grocery store and give them a try!
